(Clearwisdom.net) Penzance, meaning “Holy Land” in the local language, is a coastal town in southwest England. Every summer, the Golowan Festival attracts people from nearby areas for the annual carnival. Falun Gong practitioners in the UK have participated in this event for four consecutive years, introducing Falun Dafa to this town.

On June 25 and 26, 2011, practitioners joined the celebrating crowd to tell them about Falun Gong. Practitioners set up an information stand in the town center with golden banners proclaiming “Falun Dafa Is Good” and “The World Needs Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.” They also put up display boards, exposing the Chinese Communist regime's brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China and calling on people to work together to stop this 12-year-long tragedy.

Dressed in festive costumes, when people in the carnival walked past the Falun Gong information stand, they were taken aback by what they saw on the posters. They stopped to read the information and talk to practitioners to learn about the ongoing persecution in China. Many people signed the petition calling for an end to the persecution to show their support for Falun Gong.

Ms. Abel came with her friends to join the festival parade. When they passed the Falun Gong information stand, they stopped and carefully read the information on the display boards. Then they all signed the petition.

Jo from England was already fascinated by ancient Chinese Qigong. When she read about Falun Gong, she immediately wanted to learn the exercises. She carefully noted the exercise site nearest to her home. She thanked the practitioners and seemed pleased as she left.

A Chinese lady with children and several Chinese students walked past the information stand. The lady approached practitioners and said that the Falun Gong she saw outside China was very different from the Falun Gong depicted by the Chinese Communist regime's propaganda. She was confused. Practitioners answered her questions one by one and she nodded in agreement. She said that in China, one cannot see the true information, because everything is censored.

An elderly English lady came to the stand and told practitioners, “I will tell all my friends and everyone I know about the Chinese Communist regime's persecution of Falun Gong.” A practitioner gave her a handmade paper lotus flower. She read out the three words on the label “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance” and said it was really good.

At noon on June 26, practitioners demonstrated the five Falun Gong exercises at the seaside park against a background of white clouds, bright sunshine, and the beautiful sea. Accompanied by the calm exercise music, the sight of practitioners dressed in their golden outfits was beautiful and unique. People were attracted by the peaceful exercise movements and watched the demonstration. After the demonstration finished, people said that they are looking forward to seeing Falun Gong again next year.
