(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Zhang Dianguo, a Falun Gong practitioner from Yi County, Liaoning Province, has had to live away from home for more than three years in order to avoid persecution. Mr. Zhang was taken into custody by officials from the Jinzhou City Domestic Security Division in early July 2011. This was the eleventh time Mr. Zhang was illegally arrested. The Domestic Security Division didn't release him until they extorted 5,000 yuan from his family, and now his entire life savings has been extorted by the police.
Mr. Zhang earned his living running nationally renowned Dianguo Clinic. Many patients come here as a result of word of mouth recommendations, and the fees are low. One police officer who had previously persecuted him came to his clinic. Mr. Zhang not only did not bear him any grudge, but instead patiently offered him medical treatment. This policeman witnessed the goodness of Falun Dafa from Mr. Zhang and started treating practitioners kindly.
Around 5:00 p.m on June 29, 2008, Yi County Domestic Security team broke into Mr. Zhang’s home and forcibly took him to the Yi County Detention Center. The following day, June 30, 2008, around 6:00 a.m. the police forced Mr. Zhang to wash cars. Mr. Zhang escaped, and since then had to live away from home to avoid persecution. The police then fabricated accusations and sent out a nationwide alert, ordering Mr. Zhang's arrest. They also kept monitoring his family.
Mr. Zhang’s family relied on income from his clinic, and now have lost their source of income. Moreover, Mr. Zhang's life savings were depleted after being extorted numerous times by the police each time he was repeatedly arrested. His wife, Ms. Guo Guixiang, who had suffered illegal detention in forced labor camps four times, had to take a temporary job in order to support the family. Mr. Zhang’s adult children planned to look for jobs, but the police refused to issue them identification documents, thus depriving them of their right to make a living.
It was learned that the Jinzhou City Domestic Security Division arrested Mr. Zhang by monitoring and locating his cell phone. They extorted 5,000 yuan from the family and then allowed Mr. Zhang to return home pending a trial on July 16, 2011.
