(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Shui Li is a police officer at the Nanjing City Pukou Prison. She has been practicing Falun Gong for more than ten years, and was arrested in the afternoon of July 29, 2011. She is now being held in the Nanjing Detention Center.
Since the persecution of Falun Gong began in 1999, Ms. Shui has been arrested several times by officers from the Nanjing and District 610 Office and has been persecuted in the Nanjing Gulou District Brainwashing Center and the Nanjing Detention Center. She was also detained at her workplace in Pukou Prison. Her phone was tapped and she has been monitored by her neighbors. She was often harassed by the local police officers and officials from the neighborhood committee.
On one occasion, Ms. Shui was taken to the Nanjing Brain Hospital to be injected with drugs. Police officer Tian called Ms. Shui's husband six times to threaten him and stop him from passing information about Ms. Shui to her relatives living overseas.
In an attempt to force Ms. Shui to renounce her belief, her eldest son has been arrested and detained for 15 days, and her younger son was detained for 48 hours. Officer Xiao Ningjian from the Nanjing Police Department and others ransacked her home. Her husband's hair has turned white as a result of worry and anxiety over his wife’s situation.
