(Clearwisdom.net) Jia Wenya was transferred to Tangshan City, Hebei Province in May 2011, as the Tangshan Public Security Bureau chief. After he took office, he conspired with assistant chief Liu Xiaozhong and Xu Demao, the party secretary of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Politics and Law Committee in Tangshan, and ordered the Tangshan police force to begin a three-month crackdown on Falun Gong practitioners. During these past two months, the Tangshan officers have conducted massive arrests, detainment, confiscation of property, and extortion, and imposed forced-labor sentences on many Falun Gong practitioners, causing hardship for many families.

Since May, over 100 practitioners have been persecuted or harassed. The following information is current as of July 5, 2011:

On the morning of May 2, 2011, Yutian County Public Security Bureau officials arrested practitioner Zhang Haiyan, then took her to the Kaiping Forced Labor Camp in Tangshan. She was sentenced to one year and nine months of forced labor.

According to information received on May 2, 2011, a CCP court held a trial for practitioner Li Yanling from Leting County.

According to information received on May 3, 2011, practitioner Gao Pinlian (in his/her fifties) from Donglizhuangzi Village, Tuanpiaozhuang Town, Zunhua, Tangshan was arrested by Public Security Bureau officials on April 29, 2011.

On the evening of May 6, 2011, officers from Changzhuang Town Police Station in Fengrun broke into practitioner Zhang Xiujuan's home in Jinchuanyuan Village, Changzhuang Town and took her to the Changzhuang Police Station. She was later taken to the Kaiping Forced Labor Camp.

Authorities of Jidong Prison in Tangshan started hiring women to tempt male practitioners sexually, aiming to eventually break their wills, from early May.

According to information received on May 10, practitioner Zhang Zhigang from Zunhua was arrested and sentenced to one year and six months of forced labor. He is currently imprisoned at the Kaiping Forced Labor Camp in Tangshan.

On May 10, 2011, CCP authorities sent a sizable force of armed police to Jiazhuangzi Village and Xiaonianzhuang Village in Baozidian Town, Zunhua for a large-scale arrest of Falun Gong practitioners. According to one source, at least 50 practitioners were arrested in Jiazhuangzi Village alone.

Officers from the Youyi Road Police Station, in Tangshan have frequently harassed practitioner Meng Xiuxin's family in Tangshan since May 11, 2011.

On May 12, 2011, practitioners including Yan Fuxiang from Puchihe Village, Xiliucun Township, Zunhua were arrested.

Practitioners Fu Weijun and Dong Heying from Tangshan were arrested on May 12, 2011.

On May 13, 2011, practitioner Liu Hongyuan from Hancheng, Fengrun was arrested at an open market by officers from Xinjuntun Police Station. Police also confiscated her cellphone. That afternoon, she was transferred to the Fengrun Detention Center.

The Yutian County Court held a trial for practitioner Huang Kejun on May 13, 2011.

On May 13, 2011, practitioner He Jiapeng from Qian'an was arrested.

Practitioners including Li Jianguo from Beizhan, Tangshan were arrested on May 16, 2011.

Practitioner Gao Ruizhen from Houdouhe, Kaiping District was arrested by police on May 16, 2011, at the Wangqianzhuang Open Market, in Zhengzhuangzi Township, Kaiping District, and taken to the Zhengzhuangzi Police Station in Kaiping District.

Practitioner Mao Zhanfang from the Luannan County Business Bureau was arrested on May 16, 2011, by Public Security Bureau officials in Luannan County, Hebei Province.

On the morning of May 17, 2011, practitioner Zhao Yunlong and his son from Dafenggu Village, Yuehe, Kaiping in Tangshan were arrested.

Practitioner Liu Lijun from Tangshan was recently detained at the Yang Guanlin Town Police Station.

Practitioner Gao Xuying from Tangshan was arrested on May 18, 2011.

On May 18, 2011, practitioner Zhao Ye from Tangshan was arrested by the Gaoxin District Public Security Bureau. She was illegally sentenced to one year and nine months of forced labor, and is currently imprisoned at the Hebei Province Women's Forced Labor Camp, where she is being subjected to severe persecution.

On May 19, 2011, practitioner Yang Xiuchun was arrested by Tanghai County Public Security Bureau officials. Early that evening, he was transferred to the Tanghai Detention Center.

On May 20, 2011, Yangguanlin Police Station officials in Tangshan attempted to send practitioner Deng Xiuyan's five relatives to the forced labor camp: Zhang Lijun, Deng's mother-in-law, Zhang Baoxiang, Ye Suping and Jing Shuxiang.

On May 24, 2011, practitioner Zhang Haiming from Lugezhuang Village, Fengrun District was arrested and held at the Fengrun Detention Center. Officers from the Yongji Street Police Station presented an arrest warrant to his family and threatened to sentence him. They required Zhang Haiming to sign a guarantee statement giving up practicing Falun Dafa, before they would release him. Mr. Zhang refused to sign.

On May 25, 2011, officials from the Nanyan Police Station from Jidong Prison, Nanbao Developing District Public Security Bureau and Tangshan Domestic Security Division conspired and arrested Ms. Li Wen'e and her husband Mr. Wang Weidong. They also ransacked their home.

According to information received on May 27, 2011, practitioner Gong Yanfeng has been harassed and subsequently monitored by police since April 20. She is now homeless and destitute.

On May 27, 2011, practitioner Yang Xiuchun from The Fifth Team, Ninth Farm, Tanghai County was arrested and taken to the Kaiping Forced Labor Camp in Tangshan.

Around May 27, 2011, practitioner Xu Lanru from Tangshan was arrested by Yonghongqiao Police Station officers.

Around May 27, 2011, practitioner Liu Chunling was arrested from her home by Shuigang Police Station officers. The police also confiscated her Falun Dafa books and items. Currently, her whereabouts are unknown.

On May 28, 2011, Dr. Cao, his wife, Li Qiang and his father-in-law, practitioner Di and practitioner Li were arrested by Fujiatun Police Station officers in Lubei District, Tanshang. Dr. Cao's home was ransacked.

On May 31, 2011, practitioner Liu Fenglan from Tangshan gave a Falun Dafa truth-clarification flyer to a person while selling goods at Jiazhuangzi, Zhengzhuangzi Township, Kaiping District. She was arrested and taken to the Kaiping District Public Security Bureau by officer Wei Jingyi, and two other officers from the Kaiping Public Security Bureau in Tanshang. That afternoon, Wei released Ms. Liu, only after extorting 2,000 yuan from her family.

On May 31, 2011, practitioner Meng Lihui from Fengnan District, Tangshan was arrested.

On June 2, 2011, practitioner Lin Xiuling from Lizhuangzi Village, Dangyu Town, Zunhua was arrested and taken to the Zunhua Detention Center.

On June 2, 2011, practitioner Shen Fu from Luan County was taken from his workplace by officers from the First Section of the Luan County Public Security Bureau, where he is currently being detained. Officer Yuan Yongfeng from the first section and Luan County 610 Office assistant director Tian Guoru conducted the arrest.

On June 2, 2011, Public Security Bureau officials from Lubei District in Tangshan and Qiaoxi Police Station from Tangjiazhuang broke into practitioner Peng Xiaoyun's home in Tangjiazhuang. Later, Peng Xiaoyun was arrested and taken to the Tangshan Detention Center by the officials, then transferred to the Kaiping Forced Labor Camp.

On June 3, 2011, practitioners Wang Guizhi, Li Xiaojie and Qiang Suzhen from Guzhi District, Tangshan were arrested at the Guzhi District open market and taken to the Guye District Police Station by plainclothes officers. They were later held at the Luan County Detention Center where they were subjected to persecution. Li Xiaojie and Qiang Suzhen were held at the Luan County Detention Center for 15 days, and were then sentenced to one year of forced labor. They were taken to the Kaiping Forced Labor Camp by Public Security Bureau officials in Tangshan on June 17. On June 4, 2011, practitioner Zhao Yunlong from Tangshan was sentenced to a forced labor term.

On June 6, 2011, practitioners Chai Shuzhen, Zhao Guiping and Liu Hua from Qianxi were reported to CCP authorities while clarifying the facts, and were subsequently arrested by Chengguan Police Station officers. That afternoon, police released Liu Hua but ransacked his home and confiscated two Falun Dafa books. Cai Shuzhen and Zhao Guiping are being held at the Qianxi County Detention Center.

On June 8, 2011, practitioner Mo Meirong from Dongdan Village, Chaoluowo Town, Yutian County was arrested by Chaoluowo Town Police Station officers, then taken to the Yutian County Detention Center.

On the morning of June 9, CCP party secretary Chen Huanchang from Wanggezhuang Village, Chahe Town, Fengrun District in Tangshan led officer Fang Ruijun and two others from Chahe Police Station to harass practitioner Wang Zhanhong at her home. Ms. Wang was forced to leave home and become destitute.

On June 9, 2011, practitioner Zhang Fenglan from Makuanggongfang, Kaiping District, Tangshan was arrested by Tangmalu Police Station officers at the Sixth Open Market in Maojiagou.

On June 9, 2011, practitioner Cheng Dongxiang from Lujiawa Village, Shaliuhe Town, Fengrun District was arrested and taken to Shaliuhe Town Police Station.

On June 9, 2011, practitioner He Wenjiang and Wu Yanming from Nanbao Developing District in Tanshang were arrested and taken to the Tangshan Detention Center. Currently, they were imprisoned at the Kaiping Forced Labor Camp.

On June 9, 2011, at around noon, practitioner Liu Jinxiang from Nanqingtuo Village, Xiaozhanggezhuang Town, Fengrun District, Tangshan was arrested and taken to the Fengrun District Detention Center by officers from Xiaozhanggezhuang Town Police Station.

On June 9, 2011, practitioner Dong Lanfen, a Deyuanli Construction Bank employee from Lubei District, Tanshang was arrested and is currently being held at the Tangshan Detention Center.

On June 9, 2011, practitioner Liang Xiumei from Yutian County was arrested and taken to the Yutian Detention Center by officers from the Yutian County Public Security Bureau.

On June 10, 2011, practitioner Wang Xiaojun from Tangshan Energy Institute was arrested by Tangshan Public Security Bureau and Kailuan Public Security Bureau officials.

On June 10, 2011, practitioner Zhou Haiwei and the Yang Li couple were arrested from their workplace at the Second Middle School in Luan County.

On June 13, 2011, practitioner Sun Shujuan from Dongta Village, Yuehe Town, Kaiping was arrested and taken to the Tangshan Detention Center by Yuhe Town Police Station officials.

On June 15, 2011, practitioner Zhang Weizhong from Fengrun District was arrested. Currently, he is being held at the Fengrun District Dentition Center.

On June 15, practitioner Zhou Xiangyang's mother in her hometown Changli was harassed by local police officers. On June 16, Zhou's wife Li Shanshan received a phone call from director Li from Gangbei Prison, who informed her that Zhou's family members were prohibited from visiting him on June 17. On June 16 at approximately 8:00 p.m., Taiping Road Office officials and Residence Committee members went to Li Shanshan's home to harass her.

On June 18, 2011, practitioner Zheng Xiufen from Majiagou, Tangshan was arrested by Malu Police Station officers in Kaiping and taken to the Tangshan Detention Center.

According to information received on June 24, 2011, practitioner Sun Li from Shuigang District was arrested by plainclothes police while distributing truth-clarification materials. He is currently being held at the Tangshan Detention Center.

On June 25, 2011, practitioner Wang Shulian from Wujiazi Village, Jianggezhuang Town, Leting County was arrested and is currently being held at the Leting County Detention Center.

On June 25, 2011, practitioner Wei Meijin from Shawoxinzhuangzi, Fengnan District was arrested.

On June 28, 2011, practitioner Ma Yongsan from Guye District was arrested by Public Security Bureau personnel in the Kailuan Mining Bureau. Police confiscated his computer and other personal belongings. Currently, Ma Yongsan is being held at the Tangshan Detention Center.

On June 28, 2011, practitioner Deng Xiuyan, held at the Fengrun District Detention Center was secretly sentenced to four years and six months in prison by Fengrun District Court, without notifying her family. She is currently jailed at Shijiazhuang Women's Prison and being mistreated. Her family received information about her condition later, when the village committee notified them.

On June 29, 2011, practitioner Sunli from Tangshan Steel was imprisoned at the Second Team in Kaiping Forced Labor Camp.

Practitioner Gong Yanfeng from Fengnan Distinct, Tangshan was arrested by Xugezhuang Police Station officers in Fengnan District on the morning of June 30, 2011.

On June 30, 2011, practitioner Du Yulan's home in Tangshan was ransacked by police.

Practitioner Pu Yuzhen from Shifuolin Village was arrested at her home on July 4, 2011, and taken to Fengrun District Detention Center by Yangguanlin Police Station officers.
