This Persecution Should Have Ended Long Ago

Aug. 4, 2011

(Clearwisdom.net) I recently learned from online postings that some practitioners have even felt sorry over the reported death of Jiang Zemin, the former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). They thought practitioners should at least have gotten the chance to put Jiang on trial before his demise. I actually held the same opinion just a few years back, but then I later came to realize that such a thought is not right. It’s better that Jiang dies earlier rather than later. Why would we want him to live any longer? His earlier death would better facilitate our efforts to save sentient beings on a large scale. Therefore, it would be better had he died long ago.

As I see it, the wish to try Jiang in a tribunal before his death is at best human notions at play. We have to be clear that cultivating ourselves and saving sentient beings is the most important thing to Dafa disciples. As such, we should do whatever is most effective to achieve our goals. As a matter of fact, it was exactly because we as a whole failed to meet the standards of Fa-rectification and negate the old forces’ arrangements that Jiang was able to hang in there for so long.

Master said in “Rationality” (in Essentials for Further Advancement II):

“Some students suggest that the best practice of cultivation is to get placed into a detention center or a labor camp, or get sentenced to jail in order to validate the Fa. Students, it is not so. Stepping forward to validate the Fa using many different approaches is a magnificent act, but this absolutely does not mean that you have to be arrested by the evil. If that were the case, why would those students who step forward to make appeals demand the release of all those innocent students who have been arrested, detained, sent to labor camps, or sentenced to jail?”

We have been sending forth righteous thoughts to eliminate all the evil, including Jiang, all these years, but now some practitioners wish he could have stayed longer. Aren’t these practitioners contradicting themselves?

It’s not only Jiang that should have died long ago, but all the un-savable thugs also should have received retribution for their crimes against Dafa. Why are those evil people still around? Aren’t they being kept alive by the old forces just to maintain the on-going persecution? If we really want to totally negate the old forces’ arrangements, we should send forth righteous thoughts to have the perpetrators descend to places they deserve so we can save more sentient beings.

This persecution should have ended long ago. Stopping the crimes is not something we can count on non-practitioners to accomplish; rather, it is a solemn responsibility of Dafa disciples. Shouldn’t we be held accountable for the fact that the persecution is still going on?

Master said in “Be More Diligent”:

“It’s just that many people are afraid to acknowledge this reality and its progressive unfolding; that the number of lives to be saved before the final moment arrives has not reached the amount it should; and that there is still a portion of Dafa disciples that hasn’t kept up. That is the key reason why the end of this undertaking still hasn’t been enacted.”

We need to completely deny the old forces’ arrangements and we are cultivating amid our efforts to resist the persecution. If we fail to realize the importance of resisting the persecution in our minds, we are going to lose opportunities to cultivate. With the rapid progress of Fa-rectification, the chances will only become slimmer, and we only have ourselves to blame for missing these precious opportunities to cultivate. What we should do is make good use of time to save as many sentient beings as possible before the persecution comes to an end. We cannot afford to hope for a later ending of the persecution and unwillingly play a negative role in Fa-rectification.
