(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Liu Yufeng, 72 years old, is a practitioner from Yantai City, Shandong Province. At 4:00 p.m. on August 18, 2011, Ms. Liu was reported to the police when she was distributing informational materials about Falun Gong. Gao You, a police officer from the 610 Office of Zhibu District, Yantai City arrested her and detained her in a local police station. He then took Ms. Liu's key and broke into her home, along with four other police officers, when none of her family members were home. The police officers ransacked her home and took away her laptop, three printers and several cases of Falun Gong books.
When the police attempted to arrest Ms. Liu, she escaped and two police officers chased her. When she ran through a produce market, where there were many people buying things and enjoying a cool summer day, she cried out: “Look at this, police are trying to arrest an innocent person! Falun Dafa is good!”
Ms. Liu kept crying out what she wanted people to know about Falun Gong as she ran. People thus crowded around her, blocking the way of the police officers trying to get her. When she got on a bus, the police also got on the bus. A little while later, the chief of the local 610 Office, Gao You, came in a police car, arrested her and took her to the local police station.
After ransacking Ms. Liu's home, Gao You returned to the police station and interrogated her. When he tried to force her to sign the arrest warrant, Ms. Liu sternly refused. She told Gao that they were doing bad things and they would meet with karmic retribution if they persisted. She also demanded that Gao return her private property immediately.
At 8:00 p.m. Ms. Liu was released.
Since the persecution of Falun Gong began in July 1999, Ms. Liu has been arrested many times and sent to brainwashing centers and detention centers. Twice, CCP officials pried her door open and broke in and arrested her. Three times, Gao You ransacked her home along with other police officers. Her husband, Mr. Long Lianzheng, an engineer, was also arrested many times and sentenced to forced labor in the Wangcun Labor Camp, before he died as a result of the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong.
