(Clearwisdom.net) On March 14, 2011, directed by police officer Geng Dan, plainclothes police from the Fushun Domestic Security Division illegally arrested Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Xi Liguo and his wife, Ms. Liu Fenglan. Mr. Li was released four days later but his wife is still in the detention center.

Besides arresting the elderly couple, the Fushun Domestic Security Division also extorted the exorbitant sum of 100,000 yuan from their family. Of that money, 70,000 yuan was going to be used for their second son's wedding and the remaining 30,000 had been saved by her sister who is going to pay for her twin daughters' college school fees. Ms. Liu's family of four depend on her 1,000-yuan pension for subsistence while her sister is supporting her two children alone. The regime's agents have almost destroyed the entire family.

Ms. Liu has now been detained for nearly six months. Her case has been transferred to the Dongzhou District Procuratorate and is being handled by Wang Zhijing.

Police officer Geng Dan is responsible for the unlawful arrests and sentencing of a dozen Falun Gong practitioners and continues to persecute still other practitioners.
