(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Cong Peilan, a Falun Gong practitioner from Yuanbaoshan District, Chifeng, Inner Mongolia was arrested by local police the night of August 21, 2011. Ms. Cong was forced to leave her home in 2004 to avoid persecution. Because Yuanbaoshan District Domestic Security Division police could not find her, they put her on the national wanted list in 2009. Ms. Cong is currently detained at Yuanbaoshan District Detention Center.

Ms. Cong is in her 50s. She used to suffer from over 20 diseases. After she started practicing Falun Gong, all her diseases disappeared; even her severely bowed legs became straight.

Ms. Cong has been persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party since July 20, 1999. She was brutally tortured in prison for two years. Zhang Haiqing, head of the Yuanbaoshan Detention Center, forced ten practitioners, including Ms. Cong, to stand in snow without winter clothes on January 1, 2001. Ms. Cong only had pajamas on. Her fingers were frozen. Within several minutes after she was brought back inside, her fingernails and fingers ruptured. Three days later, the skin on her fingers as well as her fingernails fell off and yellow pus dripped from them. The next day, guards forced several practitioners, including Ms. Cong, to wash their dirty laundry.

Five plain-clothes officers from Yuanbaoshan District Domestic Security Division broke into Ms. Cong's house at 10:00 p.m. on July 19, 2006. Several of them knocked on the door and attempted to arrest Ms. Cong. Nobody was home, so the police ransacked the house.

The police from Yuanbaoshan District Domestic Security Division, the 610 Office and the local police station constantly harassed Ms. Cong, so she had to leave her home in 2004 to avoid persecution.

Wu, head of the Xilutian Police Station, led officers to arrest Ms. Cong at night on May 28, 2009. She was able to run away. Then the police put her on the national wanted list.
