(Clearwisdom.net) Practitioner Ms. Huang Xiuling was arrested at home by Nanpi County Police on September 5, 2009. She was illegally sentenced to three years in prison. From December, 2010 to present, she has been imprisoned in the Hebei Provincial Women's Prison in Shijiazhuang.

Arrested and Robbed by Police

At about 7:00 a.m. on September 5, 2009, Ms. Huang was arrested at home by the Nanpi County Police. The police also stole 20,000 yuan in cash that belonged to her employer, as well as accounting books, invoices and some stationary which Ms. Huang had used for her accountant job at home.

Persecuted in Prison

Ms. Huang was an accountant at the Xinhe Building in Nanpi County. She was a responsible and capable worker who was always friendly and willing to help others. After her arrest, she was taken to the Nanpi Detention Center. Because she refused to put on an inmate uniform, Ms. Huang was hung up by handcuffs outside, despite the cold winter days. Sometimes she was tortured by being handcuffed behind her back, which caused her wrists to become red and swollen.

After having been detained for a period of time, the once healthy Ms. Huang started to suffer from stomachaches, heart disease and temporary lung failure. The people responsible for Ms. Huang's persecution include a police officer whose police ID number is 61836, Xu Ruihong (Chief of the Domestic Security Division), Cao Chunguang, Zhang Yu, Guo Lei, Sun Jian, and Shan Cifang.

In February 2011, the prison wardens called Ms. Huang's mother several times to urge her to convince her daughter to renounce her belief in Falun Dafa. The wardens threatened to imprison the elderly mother if her daughter was unwilling to be “transformed”.

In the prison, Ms. Huang was forced to stand for an extended period of time on multiple occasions, which resulted in her legs swelling and her veins bulging. She also had a yellowish, unhealthy appearance. The prison arranged for Falun Gong practitioners who had turned against Dafa to brainwash her, but she refused to give up her beliefs.

Deliberately Obstructive Wardens

On a rainy day in the summer of 2011, Ms. Huang's mother traveled several hundred miles to the Hebei Provincial Women's Prison in Shijiazhuang to visit her daughter. The wardens did not allow her to see Ms. Huang and kicked her out of the facility. The elderly mother wanted to try her luck the next day, so she had to find a place to stay for the night. However, the cheapest hotel she could find charged 80 yuan per night, which was a considerable amount of money for the mother and her family, who had 20,000 yuan in cash extorted from them by the Nanpi police and Xu Ruihong (Chief of the Domestic Security Division). Therefore, the mother spent the night on the street. The next morning she went to the prison again. Luckily, she was allowed a brief visitation that day. When the wardens saw Ms. Huang passing a small piece of paper to her mother, they grabbed it from her immediately, tore it up and the visitation was over.

Repeatedly Harassed for Her Spiritual Beliefs

Ms. Huang was a university student at the College of Forestry at the Agricultural University of Hebei when she first learned Falun Gong on New Year's Day in 1999. She had serious rhinitis and stomach problems, but they disappeared after she started to practice Falun Gong.

Ms. Huang went to Beijing to appeal with other practitioners regarding the mistreatment towards Falun Gong practitioners on April 25, 1999. After that, the university fired her from her part-time position at the library and informed her that she, as a Youth League member, was not permitted to practice Falun Gong. On July 20, 1999, she again went to appeal against the persecution of Falun Gong. After she had gone back to school, the university assigned five fellow students to watch her everyday, even when she went to the washroom or went home for holidays.

In November 2000, Ms. Huang went to the government to appeal for Falun Gong a third time and she was forced to withdraw from her university by the school management, even though she was about to graduate in six months. On the written notice of her withdrawal, the university put down the false statement, “inability to fulfill course requirements,” as the reason for her forced withdrawal.

Ms. Huang then went home and stayed with her family. However, local police and government officials frequently harassed her, her family members, and even friends. When she got a new job, the Nanpi County Police caused her trouble at work, and she ended up losing the job. She was once working at the Fuda Supermarket in Nanpi County, and the police told her employer to deprive her of normal breaks and the right to take shifts, and make her work double-time with only regular pay.

In May 2008, the police sent some people to monitor her around the clock. She was finally able to lose them on June 2. One of the stalkers was Huang Ning. His cell phone number is +86-13932753306; and the other stalker was in his 30's.
