(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Wu Guizhuang was born in 1962. She was unlawfully sentenced to four years in prison on January 12, 2012. She is being detained in the Yiwu Detention Center.
Ms. Wu and two other practitioners distributed Falun Gong materials in Yiwu City, Zhejiang Province, on March 28, 2007. The two other practitioners were arrested at that time and sentenced to two years in prison. Ms. Wu was forced to become homeless and destitute to avoid arrest. During that time, CCP (Chinese Communist Party) personnel kept harassing her family members and threatening them so that they would reveal her whereabouts.
In July 2011, they went to harass Ms. Wu's family again and ransacked her home, which frightened them terribly.
In August 2011, the CCP personnel seized Ms. Zhao's younger brother, Wu Guiqiang, who works in the Nanchang City Judicial Department of Jiangxi Province. They did not allow the family to visit Wu Guiqiang and ordered him to tell them where Ms. Wu Guizhuang was. The Yiwu CCP personnel offered several promises: (1) They would give her a light sentence, less than two years detention; (2) The would not handcuff her; (3) They would send her to Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, to serve her term.
Ms. Wu could not bear the pressure. Her parents, in their 80s, worried that they would not see their daughter again before they died. On September 6, 2011, pressured by her family, Ms. Wu Guizhuang went to the Yiwu Detention Center.
Ms. Wu Guizhuang was sentenced to four years in prison on January 12, 2012. Her family felt they were deceived by CCP personnel.
Ms. Xiao Jing, 40 years old, from Xiushui County, Jiangxi Province, was arrested when she went to work in Yiwu, Zhejiang Province, and talked to people about Falun Gong in June 2009. She was sentenced to three years and two months in prison. She was brutally persecuted in Hanzhou Women's Prison in Zhejiang Province. Her family could not visit her when she was detained for more than two years.
