Three Senior Citizens Persecuted in Tongliao, Inner Mongolia

Jan. 5, 2012 |   By a Clearwisdom correspondent in Inner Mongolia

(Clearwisdom.net) On November 11, 2011, Mr. Temule was arrested by local police, and his home, along with the home of Ms. Ji Liping, were then ransacked. In the days following Mr. Temule's arrest, both of their families were harassed by officers from the Public Security Bureau of the Kerqin District Police Department. Ms. Ji Liping is now missing, and it is believed that she was arrested on November 16. On November 17, Ms. Qi Lingyue (Mr. Temule's wife) was also thought to have been arrested. Their whereabouts are currently unknown.

On November 11, captain Wang Bo of the Kerqin District Public Security Bureau and several officers went to Ms. Ji Liping's home and confiscated all of her Falun Gong-related books and materials. They also interrogated the family concerning the source of the materials. The day after Ms. Ji went missing, Wang Bo, Wang Bin, Shi Wenhui, and several other officers went to her home again and attempted to confiscate her personal computer. Her husband resisted and asked Wang Bo where Ms. Ji was. Wang Bo refused to disclose any information.

Ms. Qi Lingyue's family was harassed constantly by officers from the Public Security Bureau. They attempted to force Ms. Qi to write a guarantee statement to give up Falun Gong and refused to listen to her explanation of the facts about the practice. The lives of the Inner Mongolian couple, Mr. Temule and Ms. Qi, were literally transformed through practicing Falun Gong. Mr. Temule, in his 70s, suffered from a blood clot in his brain and was unable to take care of himself prior to practicing Falun Gong. He is now able to take care of himself, although he has a difficult time walking. Ms. Qi couldn't speak fluent Mandarin before, nor read any Mandarin characters. After practicing Falun Gong, she gradually developed the ability to speak Mandarin and has read several Falun Dafa books.

On November 11, officer Baojirimutu participated in ransacking Ms. Qi's home. The police contacted Ms. Qi's daughter and, until the morning of November 16, attempted to force her to persuade Ms. Qi to give up her practice of Falun Gong. At approximately 6:00 a.m. on November 17, Ms. Qi went out and has not been heard from since, including any notification from the police department. When Ms. Qi's children went to the Public Security Bureau and asked to see her, Wang Bo did not show up.

Ms. Ji Liping is almost 60 years old. She had previously suffered from several stubborn diseases that disappeared after she practiced Falun Gong. Ms. Qi is in her 60s. We are asking police officers and anyone else to please provide any information you can to help find these two senior citizens.
