(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa was introduced to the public by Master Li Hongzhi in 1992. Over the past 20 years, millions of Falun Dafa practitioners have benefited in mind and body through the practice of Falun Dafa. On July 18, 2012, State Representative Steve Lindberg and State Senator Tom Casperson presented a Special Tribute to Falun Dafa in recognition of the contributions of the founder and practitioners of Falun Dafa. Below is the text of the Special Tribute.

20th Anniversary of Falun Dafa

Let it be known, that it is our pleasure to congratulate the practitioners of Falun Dafa upon the 20th anniversary of the first formal teaching of Falun Dafa principles. The past two decades, during which we have witnessed the worldwide spread of those teachings, have shown the wholesome benefit that Falun Dafa provides to those who make it part of their daily lives.

With its foundation in Chinese spiritual tradition, the moral philosophy of Falun Dafa has had a positive influence among its adherents. The exercises and meditation that are part of Falun Dafa and its values of truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance have brought greater health and well-being to the tens of millions of Chinese citizens who practice those values and to those around the world who have studied Falun Dafa and incorporated it into their lifestyle. In spite of the persecution that many followers of Falun Dafa have experienced in the country in which it was born, they have preserved in their determination to be faithful to their beliefs and have represented Falun Dafa well to the world.

In Special Tribute, therefore, this document is signed and dedicated to recognize the 20th anniversary of the public teaching of Falun Dafa. We admire the peaceful devotion that the practitioners of Falun Dafa show to its practices and we wish them greater peace, prosperity, and freedom from persecution in the years to come.
