(Minghui.org) Five Falun Dafa practitioners will be illegally tried by the authorities in Suibin County, Hegang City, on October 19. Four practitioners from Fujin City—Mr. Yuan Yulong, Yang Shuzhen, Gao Yumin, and Ms. You Jinying—and Suibin practitioner Liu Siyuan were arrested by local police when they were distributing truth clarification materials regarding Falun Dafa in Yongde Village, Beigang Town, at approximately 9 p.m. on July 14, 2012.
The practitioners' families have hired lawyers to defend them. The three female practitioners are being detained at No. 1 Detention Center of Hegang; the two male practitioners are being held at the Suibin Detention Center.
Fujin and Suibin are separated by a river. There are not many practitioners in Suibin, so the practitioners in Fujin were helping them distribute Falun Dafa flyers as well as information regarding the persecution. Back in 2003, An Yunfeng, Gong Kuiming, Zhao Wanlong, and others at the Suibin Police Station and the county government began to offer rewards to anyone who informed them about Falun Dafa practitioners or turned in truth clarification materials. Liu Qingchun from Yongde Village wanted the reward and so reported the five practitioners, who were then arrested.
Family members of all of the five practitioners visited the Suibin Police Station every day to request the release of their family members, who did not break any law. The police were unreasonable and treated them brutally. On the morning of July 20 a family member of Gao Yumin was beaten and then kicked out by the police. You Jinying's 17-year-old daughter was also treated with the same brutality.
In the afternoon on July 21 Suibin Detention Center wardens and Zhang Zhenqiang, director of the Domestic Security Group, brought 63-year-old Mr. Yuan Yulong to a hospital to be force fed. The police frequently beat the elderly practitioner. When Mr. Yuan's wife questioned them about what they had done to him, they at first denied it but later admitted to the beatings, saying, "So what?" The police removed the chairs in the waiting area in the station to discourage the practitioners' families from staying. They also grabbed their purses and threw them out the door.
Mr. Yuan's wife went to the Suibin Police Station again on July 26. She asked about the release of her husband and his wellbeing. The police lied to her every time. She was visibly upset when she began convulsing and fell to the floor, losing consciousness. Zhang Zhenqing, thinking she was being dramatic, kicked her repeatedly and yelled for her to get up. He stopped only when he realized that she was not faking. After regaining consciousness, she noticed lumps on her forehead and bruises on her legs.
Ms. You Jinying's daughter, You Donghui, was only 17 years old. Her mother was her only parent, and when she asked the police for her release, the director of the police station, Lu Jiansheng, told her that her mother would be executed, shot to death. Shocked by such awful news, she was unable to think of anything else. Normally an excellent student, she could no longer focus on her school work after that day.
Gao Yumin's mother, 83, has been visiting the Suibin Police Station every day for over 30 days.
A Young Girl's Letter and Appeal
Ms. You Jinying was later transferred to the No. 2 Detention Center in Hegang. The center called the family to inform them they would have permission to visit. However, when the 17-year-old, accompanied by an adult, arrive at the detention center, the wardens refused to allow the girl to see her mother.
In an attempt to rescue her mother, she wrote a letter to all the police officers involved in the arrest of her mother, as well as other practitioners. She has also filed a complaint about Suibin Police Station, particularly Lu Jiansheng and Zhang Zhenqiang, for illegally arresting and detaining You Jinying.
