(Minghui.org) Due to the lawless nature of the Chinese Communist Party's persecution of Falun Gong, the CCP's minions resort to all sorts of treacherous excuses to justify their mistreatment of innocent practitioners. Clever words, shaped in tangible patterns, are used to deceive the victimized practitioners. In the following pages we enumerate those strategies that the CCP's minions tend to use, which give us some idea about their relentless treachery.
“This is not an arrest, but an invitation.”
On the morning of July 20, 2000, some Falun Gong practitioners were arrested and held in a hotel where a brainwashing center was established. The arrest was carried out by police from the Beijie Police Station of Shijia Zhuang City, Hebei Province and the arrested, as far as we know, were Mr. Zhao Tongxiao, Ms. Lu Sujun, Mr. Zhao Zhijun, Ms. Wen Fenglan, Ms. Pan Shuxia, Ms. Wang Xiaoying, Ms. Ren Yanfang, Ms. Ren Yanzhi, Mr. Hu Mingzhi, Ms. Hu Yachan, Mr. Wang Hua and Mr. Sun Qingjun. The personnel in charge of the brainwashing center was Gao Shixian, secretary of the CCP's Discipline Committee of Shijiazhuang City. Mr. Zhao Tongxiao protested the arrest but the police managed to take him to the brainwashing center with the excuse that he was called for an interview in the police station. During their detention the practitioners were treated like criminals. They were not allowed to switch off the light or close the doors when they slept and each of them was assigned a personal monitor to closely watch them, even when they went to the toilet. The police dubbed their lawless action as: “This is not an arrest, but an invitation. ”
“This is not deception, but a strategy.”
On December 29, 2009, Kang Yongli, secretary of the CCP Committee of the Shidaogou Village, Laiyuan County, Baoding City, Hebei Province, received a telephone call from a police officer of the Domestic Security Group, who asked him to notify a local Falun Gong practitioner, Mr. Zuo Zewen, to come in and pick up his confiscated tricycle. When Mr. Zuo and his wife went to the Domestic Security Group he was told to go to the police station. The police officer Zhang Fang told him he would drive him to the police station, but when Mr. Zuo got in the police car, Zhang directly drove him to the Gaoyang Labor Camp, where he was sentenced to forced labor.
Mr. Zuo's wife, finding him missing, went to Kang to ask for his whereabouts. Kang called and learned that Mr. Zuo had been sent to a labor camp. The next day Kang and Mr. Zuo's wife went to the security group to demand his release. Kang said to the police officer, Wei Jinkui angrily: “Why did you deceive me and prompt me to deceive others? How shameful! How can I be trusted by my fellow villagers from now on?” Wei said: “This is not deception, but a strategy. You have done nothing wrong. You only acted as the messenger. You should be on the side of the CCP.” Pointing to Mr. Zuo's wife, Wei said: “You will not go to Kang from today on.”
“We are not searching your home; we're just having a look at your home”
In November 2000 Ms. Liu Hui, a teacher of Chinese from the Elementary School at Jinqin Road in the Jinniu District, Chendu City, Sichuan Province was at work when the headmaster of her school and a police officer brought her to the local police station under the guise that they had something to ask her about. Feng, chief of the 1st Section of the Police Department of Chendu City, accused her of “attempting to subvert the state power” and detained her in the police station for three days with her hands cuffed. They sent more than ten people to search her home, saying “We are not searching your home; we are just having a look at your home.”
“We are not beating you, but teaching you the rules”
The following is an account of the torture that a Falun Gong practitioner suffered when she was held in the Qiaozhuang Detention Center in Tongzhou District, Beijing.
The next morning the rules were taught. 1. Flying stance: Lower the head to the feet, lean the back against the wall with the arms lifted against the wall; 2. Crouching stance: Half crouch the legs with arms in a forward horizontal stance; 3. Beating: The victim is slapped on the buttocks with a plastic shoe sole, at least ten slaps each time. In the prison I was not allowed to speak or smile. Every day I was forced to recite the prison rules and disciplines that had more than 100 items. A single mistake in the recitation would incur punishment, from Flying Stance to a cruel beating. After they beat me they said to me: “We have plenty of rules to make you suffer. If you are asked by others you will not tell them that you are beaten here. Indeed, we are not beating you, but teaching you the rules.”
“This is not a physical punishment, but something to dull their minds.”
In the 3rd group of Xin-an Labor Camp of Beijing, practitioners were tortured with running for long periods of time, sleep deprivation and long standing or crouching. Prison guard Jiao Xuexian claimed: “This is not physical torture, but something to dull their minds. By making them exhausted, their brains will be fully refreshed and free from any irrational thoughts.”
“This is not beating; this is an unconventional measure.”
On November 16, 2006 seven Falun Gong practitioners were arrested by a group of police headed by He Xiaopei, deputy chief of the Domestic group of Hongta District, Yuxi City, Yunnan Province, and another police officer, Zhu Jiayong. They were detained in a police station in the Hongta District. Practitioner Mr. Liu Shuhua protested the arrest, when He Xiaopei verbally abused him, choked his neck with one of his arms, forced his arms behind his back and pressed him against the ground. Other practitioners protested: “You should not treat him that way!”, but officer He beat Mr. Liu's mother and ordered other police to cuff Mr. Liu to the rails of the corridor with his hands behind his back. Mr. Liu said to Zhu: “I will sue you for beating me.” Zhu responded: “This is not a beating; this is an unconventional measure.”
“This is not persecution; this is killing.”
Mr. Liang Baofan, a Falun Gong practitioner form Jilin City, Jilin Province was arrested on November 14, 2005 and was later sent to the Jiutai Labor Camp of Jilin Province. One day prison guard Yu Mingzhu violently punched Mr. Liang's face and he fell backward under the painful shock, when another prison guard, Li Kelin, forcefully chopped his neck with his palm. Mr. Liang fell unconscious right away. When he came to, he was cruelly beaten. Prison guard Feng Wei claimed: “This is not persecution; this is killing. If you were killed the only thing that we need to do is to fill in a notification form about your death. We have a death quota for Falun Gong practitioners and all such deaths will be counted as suicides. Your family will be informed of your death after you are cremated.”
“We are not beating you, but educating you.”
In Longyan Prison, Fujian Province, Mr. Lin Chenglai, former lecturer of Jimei University in Xiamen City, protested his treatment when he was pressed against the ground and beaten by a group of prison guards. The political director of the prison, Hong Jianjun claimed: “We are not beating you, but educating you. Get it?”
“This is not beating; this is tapping.”
Ms. Yan Ying is a handicapped Falun Gong practitioner from Lingwu Farm of Lingwu City, Ningxia Province. She suffered from polio when she was one year old, which left her with many residual effects such as muscular atrophy in her right leg, neural paralysis and lasting coldness in her limbs. She took great pains to make even a single step forward. She was sentenced to forced labor in October 2001 in the Women's Labor Camp of Ningxia Province. She was forced to stand on the ice-cold brick-paved floor barefoot, and her feet became so badly swollen that she could not wear her shoes. Her handicapped right leg became completely numb. With all her weight on her left leg, her left leg grew swollen and painful. She was beaten whenever she blinked her eyes. Inmates Dai Xiaoli and Shen Hong took turns torturing her. They cruelly beat the top of her head and shoulders, claiming, “This is not beating; this is tapping.”
Calling beatings tapping was not an invention of the inmates. In November 2002 the CCP put together a list of lawless police to form a so called “Re-education group of Falun Gong practitioners”. They toured around China to demonstrate to prisons and labor camps the techniques that they had utilized to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. When they went to the Ningxia Women's Labor Camp they passed such “tapping” techniques to the prison guards there.
“This is not a physical punishment; this is a lawful action.”
It is a common practice for the CCP to mischaracterize its persecution of Falun Gong practitioners as lawful. Yang Mingshan, chief of the Second Women's Prison of Yunnan Province, will certainly be ranked at the top of the list for such treachery.
This prison is under the rule of A Level-Based Regulation Enforcement of Criminals. It is thus stated in the 7th item, 6th section, 2nd chapter: “All Falun Gong practitioners who refuse to admit their crimes will be subjected to austere disciplines.” When the family members of some Falun Gong practitioners pointed out that such statements constitute an utter violation of the law they were told by Yang: “The regulations are in conformity with the orders from the 610 Office. As the chief of the prison I have the power to make regulations for the prison. We do not talk about whether a person is a criminal for his faith in Falun Gong as that is a judgment to be made by the court. All people are sent here by the court, and they will abide by the regulations of the prison.” The family of the practitioner then pointed out that the prison was violating the law by forcing practitioners to sit still on a small bench for 15 hours each day. Yang said: “You claim that further justifications are required as it is a form of torture to force practitioners to sit on a small bench. How do you define torture? Do you have evidence of torture? I am legally responsible for what I do here. If you want to appeal against me you can resort to the authorities at a higher level. ”
In addition, Yang also dubbed it a legal right of the prison to feed or inject Falun Gong practitioners with drugs that cause mental disorders.
According to Yang, all people condemned by the court are criminals, but is it not possible that the court will make wrong judgment? The issue of Falun Gong is by nature an issue about personal faith. It is an utter violation of the law, and it is brainwashing under the disguise of so-called “re-education,” to force a person to give up his faith by making them sit on the small benches for long periods of time. Yang's excuse will not change the evil nature of his actions. As the chief of the CCP's prison, Yang's words and deeds are highly representative of the CCP's tricks to justify their violations of law in their law enforcement.
“In China, this is not robbery.”
In February 2002 an American Falun Gong practitioner, Ms. Li Chunquan, was going through a tunnel in Tiananmen Square, when she was pressed to the ground and beaten by plainclothes police. Her face was injured by her broken glasses. The police stepped on her neck, almost suffocating her. She was then pulled up by several police and kicked. The police also choked her with her scarf to silence her. Afterward, they stuffed her scarf into her mouth.
The police confiscated her private property and abducted another two American Falun Gong practitioners. Ms. Li asked the police if they knew that they were committing a robbery by taking away her private property, and the police replied: “In China, this is not robbery.”
Stealing is undoubtedly a condemned action all around the world, but the CCP's police have their own interpretation of such common sense: “In China, this is not robbery!” Why is it that in China it cannot be counted as stealing? This can be attributed to twisted values, but in China it is much more than that. In China all lawless actions are permissible when Falun Gong is concerned. From here we can see how good and bad are reversed in the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong.
Nowadays more and more people are becoming aware of the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong and the infamous measures it takes in the persecution. What is mentioned in this article are the most typical ones that are practiced by the CCP minions. The CCP's followers themselves have exposed their own treachery. Certainly it is inevitable that all the evil deeds of the CCP will be exposed to the world.
