(Clearwisdom.net) On December 15, 2011, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhang Chunming from Qingyun County, Shandong Province, was arrested at his work in the Zaozhuang area by police officers from the Qingyun Public Security Bureau and the 610 Office. He is being detained at Qingyun Detention Center.

The day before he was arrested, officers broke into his house in his hometown and took away his wife’s cell phone card. At around 11:00 a.m. the next day, he was arrested where he was working in another city.

Mr. Zhang and his wife, Zhao Jinrui, started to practice Falun Gong in 2003. They benefited from the practice physically and spiritually and their morality improved. However, the authorities from the Qingyun Public Security Bureau and Xuyuanzi Police Station constantly harassed them. They were forced to leave home and move to Dezhou City, where they had to make a living by selling fruit.

In July of 2011, police officers deceived Mr. Zhang’s brother and mother and told Zhang and his wife to go to the police station, that they only needed to pay some money in order to close his case, but the couple didn’t go because they were too busy with their business. At the end of July, many police officers from the Qingyun and Dezhou area arrived at their fruit store and attempted to arrest them. But they were not present at that time. The police then ransacked their store and they were forced to leave their home once again.

On September 20, Ms. Zhao Jinrui; her friend, Liu Jinqiang; and his wife went shopping in Dezhou City. On their way home when they were near Wangqian Temple in Mengzhuang Village, Jing County, officers from the Domestic Security Division, Decheng District, Public Security Division in Dezhou City, followed them. Many plainclothes police officers got out of four police vans, dragged Ms. Zhao Jinrui and her friends into the van, and detained them at the Dezhou City Detention Center.

Ms. Zhao was transferred to the detention center in Ningjin County and was subsequently taken to a brainwashing session, which was located at the “Xinyue” Hotel in Dezhou City. Days later, she was finally released after the police had extorted 10,000 yuan from her family. When she returned home, the police from Qingyun County constantly harassed her in order to find out where her husband, Zhang Chunming, was.

After Mr. Zhang was detained in the Qingyun Detention Center, his family was really worried about him. They repeatedly asked to see him but were not allowed to.
