Persecution at the Hebei Province Women's Forced Labor Camp

March 6, 2012 |   By a Clearwisdom correspondent in Hebei Province

(Clearwisdom.net) In August 2009, police officer Li Yanji, who was assigned specifically to persecute Falun Gong practitioners in the No. 2 Brigade of the Hebei Province Women's Forced Labor Camp, was transferred out. His replacement, Zang Zhiying, is worse than Li Yanji, and Zang Zhiying manipulates convicted drug addicts, prostitutes, and thieves to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. Under Zang's orders, practitioners are beaten, verbally abused, and tortured with sleep deprivation.

As soon practitioners are brought to the forced labor camp, they are isolated, not allowed to talk or contact anyone, and they are monitored constantly, even when eating and while using the toilet. Day and night, criminal inmates surround practitioners and barrage them with lies about Falun Dafa. They prepare copies of the “four statements” (similar to the “three statements”), then coerce practitioners to copy them and fingerprint them. They try to make practitioners badmouth other people and Dafa, and do not allow them to clarify the truth. The primary aim is to “transform” Falun Gong practitioners.

The most hardened criminals are used to try to break the wills of steadfast practitioners, those who refuse to renounce Dafa. They monitor practitioners around the clock while insulting them, beating them, and sealing their mouths with adhesive tape. The labor camp reduces prisoners' terms according to how severely they persecute Falun Gong practitioners.

Practitioners at the Hebei Province Women's Forced Labor Camp are forced to work long hours. Practitioners in the No. 2 Brigade mainly fold and pack shower curtains for export, and sometimes they fold shower caps, towels and other items.
