(Clearwisdom.net) Xiao Yu, a young man in a Chinese village is not only handsome, but also kind. His mother has practiced Falun Dafa for more than a dozen years. A few months after she started cultivating, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started persecuting Falun Gong. She went to Beijing to appeal for the right to practice Falun Dafa. Xiao Yu, ten years old at the time, hid all his mother’s Falun Dafa books to prevent the police from confiscating them if they came to ransack their home.
In the local elementary school, the teacher gave every student a flyer that slandered Falun Dafa. Xiao Yu got angry and tore up the flyer in front of the entire class. He told his classmates, “My mother practices Falun Gong. She is not like what that flyer said at all.”
For the school’s New Year show, Xiao Yu's class created a program that slandered Falun Dafa. Xiao Yu sent forth righteous thoughts that targeted the program so it would not be shown. As a result, several performers forgot their lines and stood dumbfounded on the stage. Their teacher was so upset, “Stop. Let’s cancel it.” When Xiao Yu got home, he told his mother happily that sending forth righteous thoughts really worked.
During his spare time, Xiao Yu went out with his mother to distribute Falun Dafa informational materials. They put up posters and truth-clarification stickers, distributed truth-clarification materials about Falun Dafa, and hung up large banners on trees. One time, when Xiao Yu went with his mother to the market, they saw that the town government had painted a slogan slandering Falun Gong in yellow paint on a concrete utility pole. His mother wanted to erase it. It was the market day and there were many people on the street. Xiao Yu said, “Let me do it. I am a kid. No one will pay attention to me.” But it was very hard to remove the paint from the concrete. That night, they went back to the pole and scratched off the defamatory slogan with a knife. Xiao Yu also put truth-clarifying flyers in the courtyard of the town government and the neighboring residences. Since then, no more defamatory information was posted in that area.
In 2003, Xiao Yu’s mother was sentenced to a more than three-year term. Xiao Yu missed his mother’s terribly. When she was released, Xiao Yu didn’t complain at all. Instead, he gave her 600 yuan that he had saved from his small salary, so she could continue clarifying the truth of Falun Gong.
The next year Xiao Yu left home to work in a city. An engineer was impressed with him since he didn’t smoke or drink. He just worked hard and did an excellent job, so the engineer accepted him as an apprentice. He gave Xiao Yu an engineering drawing and said, “If you can read the drawing, I will teach you.” Realizing his good fortune, Xiao was very happy. He worked hard during the day and studied engineering drawings in the evening. He was such a good student, that the engineer taught him all of his engineering construction knowledge.
Two years later Xiao Yu was able to build a complete house by himself. His salary was increased from 20,000 yuan (US$3,173) per year to more than 50,000 yuan (US$7,932). Whenever he encountered a problem in his construction project, Xiao Yu chanted in his heart that “Falun Dafa is good” and “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,” and the problem was quickly resolved.
Xiao Yu became a young man. He often brought pastries and fruits to put them in front of Falun Dafa Teacher’s picture, to show respect. He talked to his classmates and others in the college he attended about the importance of quitting the CCP and its affiliated organizations. He brought lists of names of people who wanted to quit the CCP to his mother several times.
Now, with the help of several Falun Gong practitioners, Xiao Yu has married a practitioner’s beautiful daughter.
