I have practiced Falun Gong for two years. I understand the importance of studying the Fa diligently. I used to live in a district in Beijing where Falun Gong practitioners were brutally persecuted, so I was unable to get in touch with local practitioners. The only practitioner I knew lived overseas. Sometimes I found truth clarification materials and brochures in the basket on my bike, but I didn’t know who put them there. I occasionally received messages about Falun Dafa on my cell phone but couldn't find the sender.
When I first started reading Zhuan Falun, I had many questions. Because there was no one I could talk to, I felt lonely. Since I didn't know any other practitioners, I improved very slowly. I even doubted Falun Dafa at times.
My family later immigrated to the US, and I finally met some practitioners. A year and a half after I started practicing Falun Gong, I finally could join a group Fa study and share experiences. Listening to fellow practitioners share their experiences, I could feel a pure, solemn, and harmonious field. I was deeply touched. Although I had read experience-sharing articles on the Minghui website, it was still different when I could be among practitioners. Most were veteran practitioners who had practiced for many years. Their levels were much higher than mine. When I listened to them, my heart raced. It was just as Teacher said,
"Because when veteran students talk about things together and are in that state where they are not very mindful of the way they come across, it will scare the new students. [Because of] your energy, even though your words might not be strong, to them they are strong. And though you might not raise your voice, to them it sounds like thunder." It takes me five hours to get to the group study site. Because I didn’t know how to drive, my husband drove me there every time. After the first group Fa study, we were both so excited that we wanted to attend every week. However, it is quite far away, and we can't make it every week. Although we have only been there three times, the environment is truly beneficial for our improvement.
I realize that if we hold any doubts, then we won't experience any miracles. It is an honor to practice Falun Gong. We need to cultivate ourselves diligently and rectify our every thought and deed. Please don’t miss the precious opportunity, for which we have waited thousands of years. Let us be worthy of Teacher’s compassionate salvation.
