(Minghui.org) On April 28, 2012, over one thousand Falun Gong practitioners held a grand march in Flushing, New York, exhibiting the same peaceful demeanor and compassion as they have over the past 13 years facing the persecution. They called for an end to the persecution and bringing the culprits Jiang Zemin, Luo Gan, Liu Jing and Zhou Yongkang to justice.

The annual march in Flushing started has been an annual event since 2008.
Wide Spread of Falun Dafa
The march kicked off with Divine Land Marching Band leading the way. The colorful banners and large lanterns contained messages which told people again and again ‘Falun Dafa is great’ and ‘Truth-Compassion-Forbearance is great’. The celestial maidens with ancient Tang Dynasty costumes and happy lion dancers demonstrated the practitioners’ grace. A grand team of several hundred practitioners demonstrated the exercises.
Many spectators took photos and accepted Falun Gong informational materials, including paper lotus bookmarks and Minghui Weekly.
Stopping the persecution
Thirteen years ago, on April 25, 1999, over 10,000 Falun Gong practitioners went to the Beijing Appeals Office to peacefully appeal for freedom of belief. Their peaceful conduct was highly praised.
On July 20, 1999, the then CCP head Jiang Zemin initiated the persecution of Falun Gong. For 13 years, Falun Gong practitioners in China have suffered immensely, and the inhuman persecution is still going on. In the march, the banners exposing the persecution shocked people.
At the end of 2004, Nine Commentaries on Communist Party was published. The book describes the CCP’s nature and provides a means by which the Chinese people can recognize the CCP's evil and stay away from it. The second procession, made up of several hundred people carrying banners, introduced the Nine Commentaries on Communist Party.
Supporting Falun Gong
Many other people participated in the march. At the end of the procession were huge banners and flags from various organizations. Lu Dong, spokesperson of the Chinese Christian Democratic Party, participated. He said, “Since 2007 when the party was established, we have participated in Falun Gong’s events against the persecution, because Christians in China are being persecuted too.”
Well-known commentator Wang Beiji also participated. He said he had no friends practicing Falun Gong in 1999 when the CCP began the persecution. But it reminded him that the Cultural revolution was continuing. He thought that Falun Gong was the only group the CCP was unable to destroy. With sincerity, kindness and compassion, Falun Gong practitioners protested the CCP’s persecution. He wanted to express his support by participating in the march.
The grand march impressed many Chinese people on this warm weekend. Mr. Li from France renounced the CCP and its affiliated organizations on the spot. He said excitedly that he had read lots of information about the CCP’s nature and the persecution of Falun Gong by breaking through the CCP’s internet blockade. Only disintegration of the CCP can help stop the persecution. He hopes Falun Dafa can be restored in China.
Mr. Li told the reporter, “The CCP’s persecution is very cruel and inhuman. I hope Falun Dafa will spread wider.”
Mr. Xu said, “The corruption in China is very bad. The CCP is almost ready to collapse.”
Many other Chinese spectators also praised the march after seeing it.
The procession marched along a main street, passed by Sanford Avenue and arrived at its destination, after which, a rally lasting three hours was held.
