My Understandings After Reciting Hong Yin III

April 7, 2012 |   By a Falun Dafa practitioner from China

(Minghui.org) I have recited from memory all the poems in Hong Yin, Hong Yin II, and Hong Yin III. And I often go over them again and again. However, I didn’t recite the lyrics included in Hong Yin III. I didn't even finish reading them, thinking it was unnecessary to recite the lyrics because I didn’t sing those songs. I was blocked by human notions until one day when I was inspired after hearing another practitioner recite all the lyrics. I enlightened that I should also recite the lyrics. Aren’t the lyrics, written by Master, also the Fa? They also have the power of the Fa. How can I look at them differently?

I then began to recite the lyrics and did two songs today. I went over them as I rode my bike.

While reciting:

“My friend, do you remember?
We are all visitors from Heaven”
(“Why Do You Reject It?” Hong Yin III)

I gazed at the scurrying throng, and my tears suddenly flowed. I realized that it was my heart of compassion coming out, which I had never experienced before. I had previously had a bad notion, feeling that others were disagreeable with me, not to mention lacking a heart of compassion. It was just as mentioned in “A Dialogue with Time” in Essentials for Further Advancement.

“Divine Being: These problems have already become very serious. It would be good if they could manage to search within themselves for the things that they have been able to find in others.”

Today when I changed some human notions and recited the lyrics, Master helped me remove many bad substances.

When reciting: “Compassion is the Divine’s eternal state” (“Why Do You Reject It?” Hong Yin III), I realized that I was not in the Divine’s state in most cases. I didn’t strictly discipline my words, thoughts, and deeds according to the following Fa,

“You should always maintain a heart of compassion and kindness. Then, when you run into a problem, you will be able to do well because it gives you room to buffer the confrontation. You should always be benevolent and kind to others, and consider others when doing anything. Whenever you encounter a problem, you should first consider whether others can put up with this matter or if it will hurt anyone. In doing so, there will not be any problems.” (Lecture Four in Zhuan Falun)

Although I also did the three things every day, I did things for the sake of doing the work. My starting point was that I was afraid of falling behind during the Fa-rectification process. This is such a serious loophole and so selfish. Without getting rid of it, how can I “attain the righteous Enlightenment of selflessness and altruism"? ("Non-Omission in Buddha-Nature" in Essentials for Further Advancement)

I should really practice diligently, to cultivate myself to the state in which I “Assimilate and renew to enter the great new cosmos.” ("The Cosmos Remade" in Hong Yin III)
