(Minghui.org) Ever since Wang Lijun, former police chief of the city of Chongqing, went to the U.S. Consulate in Chengdu to seek refuge on February 6, the upheaval in Chinese Communist Party politics has drawn the international community’s attention. The world next saw Bo Xilai, Chongqing’s Party head, removed from his position and placed under house arrest on March 15. Soon afterwards, Zhou Yongkang, head of the Politics and Legal Committee (PLC), allegedly found himself in the hot seat during the ongoing Chinese Communist Party (CCP) infighting. There are now blogs indicating that former Party head Jiang Zemin faces the risk of being purged as well.
Wang, Bo, and Zhou all belong to the same Party faction led by Jiang and are all chief criminals in the persecution of Falun Gong. Therefore, no matter how the CCP power struggle unfolds, these perpetrators will face retribution sooner or later.
We cultivators are not interested in politics or political power. However, this does not mean that we will turn a blind eye to the culprits of the persecution of Falun Gong. Jiang and Zhou orchestrated and launched the persecution, while Bo and Wang carried out their persecution policy. These four men have committed unprecedented sins against Dafa and its disciples. While assisting Master with the Fa-rectification, our responsibilities also include bringing these perpetrators to justice. If they can be removed before the force of the Fa-rectification reaches the human world, we can offer more people salvation.
I found myself obsessed with the developments in the CCP infighting, and was curious and anxious to read the related news items. Deep in my mind I seemed to be hoping that some top CCP officials could end the persecution for us. Then I realized that my wishful thinking was indeed a strong attachment of relying on non-practitioners to turn things around. Knowing that the old forces could exploit such an attachment and thus become a hindrance to the Fa-rectification, I was determined to remove this attachment.
While I worked hard to rid myself of this attachment, I discovered that I tended to sway to the other extreme. In other words, I had the fear of having an attachment of hoping for an early end to the persecution. I realized that this was one of my deeply hidden, yet very serious, omissions.
Master said,
“The Fa has different requirements for cultivators at different levels. Sacrifice is evidenced by one’s being detached from ordinary human attachments. If a person can indeed calmly abandon everything with his heart being unaffected, he is actually at that level already. Yet cultivation practice is to improve yourself: You are already able to abandon the attachment, so why not also abandon the fear of attachment, itself? Isn’t abandonment without omission a higher sacrifice? Yet if a cultivator or an everyday person who cannot even make fundamental sacrifices also discusses this principle, he is actually undermining the Fa by making excuses for the attachments he cannot let go of.” (“Non-Omission,” Essentials for Further Advancement)
Like me, many practitioners had the fear of attachment, so they were hesitant to pay close attention to the CCP infighting. As such, they did not have righteous thoughts to have the four evil men purged. Their hesitation in wanting to end the persecution offered the evil a chance to catch its breath and unwittingly increased the difficulty of this task.
Master tells us that nothing that occurs in the human world is accidental. How can there be no heavenly arrangement for the end of the persecution? Since gods have made arrangements, anything that follows in the human world is just a manifestation of the changes in the celestial phenomena, according to Master. If it is a change in the celestial phenomena, then Dafa disciples must move accordingly and catch up with the Fa-rectification. Master taught us,
“If nobody made a move under changes in the celestial phenomena, it wouldn’t bring about that state of affairs in the ordinary world, and it wouldn’t be called a change in the celestial phenomena.” (The Seventh Talk in Zhuan Falun)
Whatever moves current leaders Hu Jintao and Wen Jiaobao make are just a manifestation of the change in the celestial phenomena. As I see it, now is the perfect time to end the persecution. Having cultivated for so long under Master’s tender care and protection, Dafa disciples have developed great capabilities. Moving in accordance with the change in the celestial phenomena and ending the persecution is the Dafa disciples’ responsibility. Doing so is also fulfilling our prehistoric vows. Of course I am not inciting anyone to make any radical moves in the human world, but rather, I urge everyone to send out a strong righteous thought that Jiang and his accomplices involved in the persecution of Falun Gong must all be purged during the CCP upheaval.
Master taught us in “Fa Teaching Given at the Epoch Times Meeting,”
“There is a lot of hidden meaning contained in [China’s] semi-divine culture, and that also holds true for the old expression “the appearance stems from the mind.” Because each person covers a certain expanse of his own in the world around him, his emotional state will have a bearing on his affairs. That’s even more the case for Dafa disciples, for they shoulder the mission of saving sentient beings, and their expanse is even greater. The Dafa disciples of the world together encompass the whole earth, with each person having a certain reach. All of what you encounter and meet with owes to factors that are present within your expanse. If you can have sufficient righteous thoughts, you can then be towering and massive within your expanse and suppress any bad things that might exist there. Were every Dafa disciple able to achieve this, the entire world would change, since each of you assumes responsibility for a large expanse in this world and represents a certain segment of sentient beings. I often tell you to cultivate inward and to search within yourselves when problems arise. When you clear yourselves at the time of sending righteous thoughts, that is meant to purify and rectify your thinking as well as clean up what is your own share, the domain that you are responsible for. If every Dafa disciple could manage to treat sending righteous thoughts correctly, and routinely have strong righteous thoughts, then all evil spirits throughout the entire world could be quickly dissolved. If all Dafa disciples could grasp this, and all sincerely achieve a state of having their righteous thoughts be at their most powerful point, then one day would be enough to resolve things. With every person dissolving the bad factors within the scope of his reach that he is responsible for, wouldn’t the entire world change?”
“The appearance stems from the mind.” As long as we have the firm thought to bring the evil people to justice, things will turn around as we wish.
I urge everyone to treat the current happenings in China with righteous thoughts. I must also warn everyone to not go from one extreme to the other. Either way will leave loopholes for the evil to exploit. We must abandon all of our attachments and also our fear of having attachments, so as to achieve the status of “Non-Omission in Buddha-Nature”.
