Happily Obtaining the Fa
I am a Dafa disciple who obtained the Fa in 2009. I used to learn all kinds of qigong. Driven by the attachments to fame and profit, I taught qigong to over 10,000 people and I was well-known in our local area. It turned out that, in the end, I suffered from all kinds of illnesses myself. I felt lost and pained inside. It was our most compassionate Master who saved me. I feel thankful for Master’s compassionate salvation and thankful to fellow practitioners who directed me to the path of cultivation.
Qigong was very popular in 1992. I was ignorant and learned many kinds of qigong, including so-called elementary level, intermediate level and advanced level qigong. To put it nicely, it could only achieve the effect of keeping fit and healing illness. At the very end, I could not even maintain my own fitness. I had no other job and relied on teaching qigong as my main source of income. I taught qigong everywhere in our local area and was getting more and more well-known. When my old classmates saw me, they asked why my face was looking darker and darker, and I didn’t know why.
Later, I developed a heart problem. A former classmate who had learned Falun Dafa gave me a copy of the book of Zhuan Falun before 1999, however, I did not cherish it. After the persecution of Falun Dafa began, I had the attachment of fear and I returned the book to her. However, every time we met, she always talked to me about the benefits of learning Falun Dafa. She was getting younger and more beautiful. Often she gave me Dafa materials, including Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, amulets, etc. In 2009, I made up my mind to give up the other qigongs and decided to cultivate Falun Dafa. I understood that it was our compassionate Master who gave me the chance to come back to Dafa.
I calmed myself down and read Zhuan Falun, and I carefully studied Master’s other lectures. Many things that I had not been able to understand for many years were revealed in Dafa. My mind and body elevated tremendously, like never before. I was able to get rid of my attachment of fear and I started to care about the safety of sentient beings. I regretted that my enlightenment quality had been so poor and that it was only now that I realized the preciousness of Dafa. I decided to devote all my limited time to studying the Fa, doing the exercises, saving sentient beings, and assisting Master in rectifying the Fa. A year later, there were visible signs of physical improvement. When some acquaintances saw me, they said that my face looked pure and clean.
Sentient Beings Are Waiting to Be Saved
I started to clarify the truth to my relatives, friends and classmates, and I also gave them amulets. I tried to persuade them to quit the CCP and talked to them about the positive benefits of practicing Falun Dafa. Gradually I began clarifying the truth to strangers as well. It might have been because Master saw that I was getting mature, that this year, practitioners took me from village to village, and door to door to give out truth-clarification fliers. At the beginning, I had the attachment of fear. Practitioners advised me that we should have righteous thoughts and righteous actions, and we should not allow the evil rotten demons to take advantage of any loopholes. What we were doing was the most righteous thing in the universe and that all the gods were watching, while Master was right beside us. It all depended on every single thought of ours. All sentient beings are waiting to be saved. Seeing that the practitioners were so calm and natural, I also gave out over 40 fliers in an open and dignified way. Ever since then, I have been giving out fliers and DVDs, and helping save sentient beings in the villages that I am familiar with.
The amazing thing is that many people that I had taught qigong to in the past came back to look for me or passed on the message that they wanted to see me. I understood that it was Master who was bringing to me those people who were predestined to be saved. Things really did materialize by just thinking of them. For example, if I had a thought of wanting to see someone, the moment I stepped out the door, I would see that person. They would ask, “How are you doing?” They would tell me that the qigong they had been learning was getting worse and worse, and that they were getting worse physically as well. I would clarify the truth about Falun Dafa to them and give them amulets. They would be very happy and thank me. I would always say, “You should thank our Master. It was our Master who asked me to do this. When facing calamity, I wish you safety.” I tried to recall every student that I had previously taught and whenever I had time, I would go and find them and clarify the truth to them. I told them that right now the cosmic climate was changing and moral standards were getting worse, resulting in one disaster after another. Only Falun Dafa could save us and help us pass safely through these disasters, and only if we adhered to “Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance,” the characteristic of the universe. Only by being good people could we have a good future. I would start by talking to one person, but it usually turned out that the whole family would come and listen and they all benefited from listening to the truth. When I left, I always gave them the truth-clarification fliers and DVDs.
I have clarified the truth face-to-face to over 2,000 people, and helped over 100 people to quit the CCP or related organizations. There are still many people waiting to be saved, however. I have recently studied Master’s new lecture “Dafa Disciples Must Study the Fa”, and I once again feel that I have just started to learn how to cultivate. I also feel the great responsibility of saving sentient beings.
Obtaining Good Fortune in Studying the Fa
I did not have a job in the past, but three days after I obtained the Fa, I was hired as a warehouse-keeper at a hotel. I came across many different kinds of people. In this kind of job one had the chance to make money on the side [Editor's note: Through bribery], however, I strictly required myself to follow the Fa principles. I used to be someone with a strong pursuit of self-interest, but after obtaining the Fa, I wouldn’t take anything that did not belong to me. Many hotel personnel wanted to make profit from this warehouse. After I took over the job, I managed it in a very organized and trustworthy way, which others believed to be incredible. There were three warehouse-keepers whose salaries were double mine. Even the president of the hotel was aware that the other warehouse-keepers had gained benefits on the side. For example, when edible oil was 10 yuan per kilogram, they would issue a bill of 15 yuan per kilogram. As a result, 5 yuan became extra profit that went to the warehouse-keepers. Every day, there were transactions for all sorts of edible oils and seasonings. In just one day, a warehouse-keeper would make hundreds of yuan. If this “kick-back” was not provided to the warehouse-keeper, he would refuse to import the goods from the suppliers. So in order to please the warehouse-keepers and get their supplies regularly, they agreed on this secretive way of running the business. Since I am a Dafa disciple, I should be a good person wherever I go. I would not take one single penny more from the suppliers. I used Dafa to judge whether something was good or bad. The suppliers said that for many years they had complaints about the practice of inflating prices, however, they had no choice but to agree to pay the extra money added to the bill. “We have never come across anyone as good as you are,” they said.
I said that I practiced Falun Gong and then I clarified the truth about Dafa to them. They learned how the CCP started to persecute Falun Dafa, how Dafa had spread to over 100 countries around the world, that people who learn Dafa are good people, and that they would have a wonderful future if they sincerely recited “Falun Dafa is good.” Hearing this information, they accepted it happily. There was one waiter who was very arrogant and rude. After I clarified the truth to him, he said he wanted to read Dafa books so I gave them to him and since then, he has become very kind and polite.
One boss that I had clarified the truth to phoned me excitedly. He said, “Your amulet was powerful. I rented two trucks to go to Xian to pick up goods. We had some problems on our way along the mountain road in Qianyang County.” It was night time and he and his driver were fixing one of the trucks at the side of the road, when a car came towards them and knocked one of them into the road side, and the other onto the front hood of the car. They were scared, but did not have any injuries or pain. They were all surprised and wondered why they did not even have any scratches. Later they discovered an amulet in a shirt pocket. “It was the amulet that saved us. We are thankful to the Master of Falun Dafa who saved us,” he said.
Another time, I found a beautiful handbag on a door handle. I thought that the owner must have had to rush off to do something urgently and had forgotten to take it. I took a look inside and saw bank cards, 3,000 yuan in cash, and a cell phone. It was almost time for work, and I wondered what to do. I decided to take the handbag to security, but they were not there. I thought the owner must have been very worried, so I waited there. Very soon, she called her cell phone, which I answered, and she said that she had lost her handbag. I told her to please come as soon as possible and that I would be waiting for her. When she arrived, she was very thankful and said, “You are very kind. Others would have turned the cell phone off and wouldn’t have returned the money.” I said that I was a Falun Dafa practitioner and that Dafa practitioners are all good people, and that she should remember that Falun Dafa was good. I took the opportunity to mention that whatever she had seen on TV defaming Dafa was all lies. I told her that she would have a bright future if she remembered “Falun Dafa is good!” I also said, “You should spread the truth that Dafa is good to more of your family and friends. My Master wants us to do so. If you want to thank us, you should thank our Master.” She said she would for sure remember it. It was wonderful to see another person understand the truth about Dafa.
Master Enlightened Me to Get Rid of My Attachment to Profit
I used to be a person with a very strong attachment to profit. After obtaining the Fa, I measured myself with the Fa and found that I still had the attachment to profit and that it was hidden deep down-- so deep that I could hardly detect it. It was our most compassionate Master who kept enlightening me on this.
In 2011, after the earthquake in Japan, people in China were rushing to buy edible salts. [Editor's note: Shortly after the earthquake, many people in China believed that the sea around Japan would be contaminated with radiation, thereby affecting the salt supply, and this started an unfounded fear of salt shortage.] The CCP always boasted how good they were, but whenever there was disaster, government officials worked together with businessmen to raise prices so as to take advantage of the common people. The price of salt rose from one yuan per jin to ten yuan per jin. It so happened that I had no salt at home. In the city, every store was sold out of salt too. There were about 50 packets of salt in the hotel. I took two of them. After getting home, the hotel called to ask for the goods in the warehouse, and it turned out that in a rush I had forgot to bring my key. What should I do? My family and relatives did not live nearby. I went to a neighbor, and she said she knew a locksmith, who would charge 150 yuan. The locksmith ended up charging me 130 yuan. After this incident, I realized that I still had an attachment to profit, and I needed to get rid of it from the root. I said to Master in my mind: As your disciple, I will for sure get rid of the attachment to making profit. I should rectify every single thought of mine.
Time Is Pressing to Save Sentient Beings
After studying Master’s new lecture “What is a Dafa Disciple?” I understand that the Fa-rectification has approached the very end. I feel the heavy responsibilities Dafa disciples are entrusted with. I decided to find all the sentient beings that I had taught qigong to and clarify the truth to them, and to help them understand the goodness of Falun Dafa. They learned that the real purpose of the CCP was to destroy mankind. I will have sentient beings forever remember that Falun Dafa is good, and Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance is good.
