(Minghui.org) Ms. Wang Yuzhuo from Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province, was illegally sentenced to ten years in prison in 2002. Her term expired on May 1, 2012. Her family has been contacted to pick her up, but they are worried that the local 610 Office agents may take Ms. Wang directly to a brainwashing center instead of releasing her.

Ms. Wang was an ECG physician at the Shuangyashan City People's Hospital. She was arrested on May 2, 2002, and later sentenced to ten years in prison. She was sent to Heilongjiang Women's Prison in Harbin City on April 3, 2003. She was diagnosed with uterine fibroids and serious heart problems, but the prison still admitted her.

During the ten years of imprisonment, Ms. Wang was subjected to severe physical abuse and torture. She was once forced to sit on a small stool facing a wall all day long without moving. She was also forced to stand still for long periods of time. She was hung up by handcuffs and suspended from a roof beam, with only the tips of her toes touching the ground.

On March 21, 2005, Ward No. 9 guards attempted to draw blood from six Falun Gong practitioners, including Ms. Wang, Zhang Baoying, Deng Jianmei, Wang Jinfan, Nie Xumei, and Fu Lihua. When the practitioners resisted, the guards ordered criminal inmates to ruthlessly beat them. As a result, Ms. Wang, Wang Jinfan, and Deng Jianmei were subsequently unable to walk.

On April 8, 2005, prison officials attempted to force practitioners into a brainwashing center, but the practitioners resisted. The guards in Ward No. 9 and four additional male guards in plainclothes then ordered criminal inmates to beat the practitioners. Inmate Bai Lijun physically and verbally abused Ms. Wang until she fainted. Bai Lijun then dragged Ms. Wang to the brainwashing center upstairs. When she regained consciousness, Ms. Wang held a five-day hunger strike to protest the abuse. Criminal inmates Zhao Xueling and Chen Xuemei beat her and then dragged her to the clinic to give her a forced injection. When Ms. Wang resisted, Zhao Xueling beat her again in the clinic.

In July 2005, more than 70 people received training to specialize in “transforming” practitioners. Division head Liu Zhiqiang gave orders that Falun Gong practitioners had to be “transformed” through any means. Guard Zhang Xiaoying instigated criminal inmates to abuse practitioners in such a way that no wounds or injuries would be visible. Wan Zhongli physically abused and tortured Ms. Wang for more than a month. Ms. Wang was forbidden to sleep in bed and instead had to sleep on the cement floor. The torture didn't stop until Ms. Wang was unable to endure it and, due to the extreme pressure, agreed to be “transformed” against her will. When she later announced that the statements she had made were against her will, she was placed in solitary confinement.

During the ten years of persecution, Ms. Wang's family has also endured tremendous suffering. Her only son has had to live with relatives. Her father passed away two years ago without seeing his daughter for the last time. Her mother, who is in her 80s, is looking forward to seeing Ms. Wang return home.
