(Minghui.org) Mr. Liu Fucai from Minxiang Village, Zhangwei Township, Suihua City, Heilongjiang Province, told people about his own experience of practicing Falun Gong. He was arrested on March 5, 2012. On April 20, his lawyer went to the courthouse and asked when Mr. Liu's trial would be held. Judge Cui Hongyuan said, “The trial is already over.” The lawyer asked, “Why didn't you inform his lawyer and his family? Why do you deprive him of his right to a lawyer? This kind of secret trial is totally against the law!”
The lawyer insisted on a retrial. The judge said, “We will respond to you within seven days.” Later, when the lawyer asked about the trial again, the judge told him, “The Political and Legal Affairs Committee does not allow the trial, and whoever defends a Falun Gong practitioner will be arrested! Political and Legal Affairs Committee officials relayed orders from upper levels of the government to quickly arrest, detain, and sentence Falun Gong practitioners to heavy sentences.”
It is a a lawyer's responsibility to defend his client in court. Lawyers' rights are protected by the law. Why does the Political and Legal Affairs Committee want to arrest these lawyers? They know that when these lawyers defend their clients, they bring up the fundamental issue that the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong is illegal. At the same time, they expose the brutality used to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. The Political and Legal Affairs Committee is not recognized the constitution or the law. This organization is above the law and controls the police, the procuratorate, the court, the judiciary system, and the Domestic Security Bureau to persecute Chinese people.
Liu Fucai is in his 50s. He used to have many health problems. He took hormones as medication for a very long time, causing bilateral femoral necrosis. He heard that Falun Dafa was especially helpful for recovering physical health, so he went to a practice site with a crutch. After more than a month, he threw the crutch away and all of his diseases went away. He tried to be a better person following Truth-Compassion-Forbearance, and warmheartedly helped his neighbors. When he drove his car, he would rather take a detour than drive through the young crops of the villagers, who all remember him.
On March 5, 2012, Liu Fucai told a passenger about his own experience of practicing Falun Gong. He was arrested by Sifangtai Police Station officers and detained in the Suihua Detention Station.
To defend Mr. Liu, Liu Facai's family hired a lawyer. The lawyer was involved when the case was still in the investigation stage. At the same time, the lawyer submitted the “Legal Opinion” to the 610 Office in the Beilin District and met his client. Mr. Liu Fucai.
To cover up their crimes, the CCP does not allow lawyers to take cases related to Falun Gong. However, many lawyers with conscience have resisted the pressure and defended Falun Gong practitioners. Each time lawyers do this, they expose the truth of the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong. Recently the Suihua Political and Legal Affairs Committee arrested and sentenced many practitioners, causing the death of 64-year-old Zhou Guilan.
Mr. Liu's health is quite poor because of the persecution and he coughs often.
