Police from the Shenbei New District in Shenyang City Continue to Arrest Many Falun Gong Practitioners

July 2, 2012 |   By a Minghui correspondent from Liaoning Province, China

(Minghui.org) On the evening of June 7, 2012, Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials from Shenyang City supervised police officers from Shenbei New District Police Sub-Bureau in the arrest of eight Falun Gong practitioners at their homes. Right now, there are still six practitioners being illegally detained: Mr. Wang Huadi, Ms. Lan Yuling, Ms. Wu Limei, Ms. Li Jing, Ms. Guan Yaqing and Mr. Chen Shaogang. Mr. Wang Huadi has been subjected to cruel torture.

1. Mr. Wang Huadi Subjected to Cruel Torture

Mr. Wang Huadi, in his 50s, resides in the Xinchengzi area. At 5 p.m., on June 7, 2012, as soon as he came home from work, seven to eight police officers surrounded and handcuffed him. After that, they went into his room and confiscated all his computers, both new and old. They told him that they came from the municipal police bureau.

Mr. Wang was taken to the Domestic Security Department in Xinchengzi District. While in detention, police officers turned on the air conditioning in the room, poured cold water onto his body, and then shocked him with electric batons. They didn't stop until the batons ran out of power. That same evening, Mr. Wang was secretly transferred to a Traffic School located in Hushitai Township. The next day, he was taken to somewhere in the Tiexi District. It has been reported that two people are currently watching him.

2. Ms. Wu Limei Being Held at Zaohua Detention Center

On June 7, 2012, at 7:50 p.m., a group of police officers from Shenbei New District broke into Ms. Wu Limei's home in Xinchengbao Village and arrested Ms. Wu, who is in her 40s, and her husband Mr. Liang Zhihong. After that, they took the couple to a building on Xinchengzi Street where their son lives, and arrested their son. This group of police officers told them that they were from Shenbei New District Police Sub-Bureau. Only one of the officers by the name of Li identified himself. They also interrogated Mr. Li's son to find out if he knew these other practitioners, such as Ms. Li Jing, Mr. Wang Huadi and Mr. Chen Shaogang. Their son answered them by saying that he knew none of them. Police officers also threatened him by saying that they would take him to Huangjia Police Station to interrogate him. In the evening, both Mr. Liang Zhihong and his son were released.

Ms. Wu Limei was first detained at the Xinchengzijie Police Station. She and another practitioner are both currently being held at Zaohua Detention Center in Yuhong District.

Because Mr. Liang Zhihong and Ms. Wu Limei both practice Falun Gong, they have been subjected to the CCP's persecution a number of times already. Mr. Liang and his brother received sentences for six and three years respectively, and several of Ms. Wu's relatives have been taken to forced labor camps or detained.

3. Ms. Lan Yuling Arrested

At 7 p.m., on June 7, Ms. Lan Yuling was arrested at a barbershop. Details have yet to be revealed.

4. Mr. Chen Shaogang Arrested

Mr. Chen Shaogang, in his 40s, lives in Xinchangzi. On the evening of June 7, he was arrested. Details have yet to be revealed.

5. Ms. Guan Yaqing Arrested and taken to the Huangjia Township Police Station

At 5 p.m., on June 7, 2012, Ms. Guan Yaqing and her husband, a non-practitioner, were arrested by police officers from the Shenbei New District Police Sub-Bureau. She was held at the Huangjia Township Police Station. Her husband was released.

6. Mr. Li Jing Held at Cailuo Town Police Station

Mr. Li Jing, in his 50s, lives in Langzhitun. He works at a local manufacturing company. At 7 p.m., on June 7, 2012, officials from the Shenbei New District Police Sub-Bureau teamed up with police officers from the Cailuo Town Police Station and arrested Mr. Li. They also ransacked his home. As of the afternoon of June 8, Mr. Li was still being held at the Cailuo Town Police Station.

7. A Few Practitioners Escape

At 7 p.m., on June 7, 2012, police officers from Shenbei New District Police Bureau teamed up with the Magang Township Police, a dozen of them in total, and broke into Mr. Wang Yongli's home. They attempted to arrest both Mr. Wang and his wife, but their resistance was too much for them. Mr. Wang's wife spoke loudly, scolding these officials for their illegal actions. People in the neighborhood all heard the commotion and came to see what was going on. In the end, Mr. Wang and his wife successfully fled from their home.

The police officers broke the couple's windows before breaking into their home. They confiscated a computer, three printers, DVD burners and a large quantity of DVDs.

Four police officers also went to Mr. Wang's father-in-law's home to ransack his home. At that time, only his mother-in-law was home alone. So the police officers confiscated two Dafa books from her and left. After Mr. Li Guiwen, Mr. Wang's father-in-law, learned about what had happened, he didn't return home and has been hiding out.

At 10 p.m., on June 7, 2012, police officers from the Shenbei New District Police Sub-Bureau went to Ms. Zhao Suyan's home on Xinchangzi Street. When they knocked at the door, her husband refused to open the door, and so they couldn't get in. Ms. Zhao was forced to leave home with nowhere to go.

8. Practitioners Arrested on May 27, 2012

On May 27, 2012, Mr. Dong Huidi and Mr. Zhao Fengjie from Magang Township were arrested. They have been held at Zaohua Detention Center since their arrest.
