(Minghui.org) Ms. Li Wei is a Falun Gong practitioner from Jiagedaqi District, Daxinganling, Heilongjiang Province. She was recently illegally sentenced to five years of imprisonment. Ms. Song Yulan was sentenced to three years, and Ms. Li Shujuan was sentenced to two years of forced labor.
Middle school teacher Mr. Li Wei sentenced, her husband pressured to divorce her
Li Wei, 53 years old, is a retired teacher from Jiagedaqi Experimental Middle School. On February 22, 2012, she gave Wang Zhan, a policeman from Weidong Police Station, a Shen Yun Performing Arts DVD. However, Wang Zhan reported her to the head of the Weidong Police Station. Li Wei was then illegally arrested by the Weidong Police and the Jiagedaqi Domestic Security Division. Since then, Li Wei has been detained at Jiagedaqi Detention Center.
During the time Li Wei was detained in the detention center, officers from Jiagadaqi Police Department and Domestic Security Division fabricated “evidence” to persecute her. Her home was ransacked twice. Her husband and daughter were under a great deal of mental pressure and her husband was forced to divorce her.
On June 5, 2012, a Jiagedaqi Court was going to try Li Wei's case when her family members asked to see her. The Jiagedaqi District Political and Judiciary Committee postponed the trial, claiming that Li Wei was emotionally unstable. Her family members left the court. A few days later, without informing her family, the court secretly held the trial.
The Jiagedaqi Court sentenced Li Wei to three years. However, the Political and Judiciary Committee did not agree with the decision and they forced the court to sentence Li Wei to five years. The court's order had been issued for a few days before her family was informed. Li Wei has already appealed to the Intermediate Court.
After July, 20, 1999 when the communist regime launched the persecution of Falun Gong, Li Wei was arrested when she distributed Falun Gong booklets in Beijing. Then she was detained at Masanjia Forced Labor Camp for one year and a half. She was also fired from her job.

After Li Wei was released from the labor camp and during the one year period when she was looking for a job, policeman Wang Zhan made a lot of trouble for her. Li Wei needed to have her identification card to get a job and had to ask Wang Zhan to give her her card. However, Wang Zhan told her that she had to sign the guarantee statement to not practice Falun Gong before he would give her the card. Thus Li Wei wasn't able to get her card until one year later. Only one month after Li Wei retired, she was reported by Wang Zhan and detained again.
Wang Zhan has been involved in the persecution of Falun Gong since 1999. Many practitioners have been telling him the facts about the persecution. However, he did not show any sympathy. Instead, he continued persecuting practitioners. One day, after Wang Zhan found that a practitioner was doing the exercises, he started to monitor her by sitting beside her from one o'clock in the morning. If anyone did the exercises he handcuffed them. If a practitioner persisted and did the exercises anyway, he would assign other detainees to drag the practitioner to another room and torture her.
Ms. Song Yulan and Ms. Li Shujuan illegally arrested
On March 15, officers from the Changhong Police Station accused Ms. Song Yulan and Ms. Li Shujuan of distributing Falun Gong booklets and arrested them. Their homes were ransacked and they were detained at the Jiagedaqi Detention Center. Three months after Ms. Song Yulan was detained, she was sentenced to three years in prison, while Ms. Li Shujuan was sentenced to two years of forced labor at the Harbin Forced Labor Camp.
