Retired Policeman a Witness to the Communist Regime's Self-Immolation Hoax and Other Attempts to Discredit Falun Gong

Aug. 4, 2012 |   By a practitioner in China

(Minghui.org) One afternoon, a fellow practitioner and I saw two gentlemen talking to each other, so we made our way over to meet them, prepared to talk about the persecution of Falun Gong. Just then, however, we caught a snippet of their conversation. One of them said, “The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) framed Falun Gong. I was once a police officer, so I personally witnessed a few things the CCP has done.” At that point, we showed up. The practitioner with me commented to the former policeman, “Why don’t you share your experiences online? That way other people who have been deceived by the Party can read it.” He said, “I’ll try. Since I am already retired, what can they do to me?”

He continued, “I do remember one time when we policemen were ordered to dress in civilian clothes. We were told to get into a police car and they drove us to an apartment. Our supervisor then told us, 'When you guys enter the apartment, no matter what happens, you cannot shout.' We went into the apartment fairly confused. After a minute, several uniformed police officers came into the room where we were. Some of them had cameras, and others held black hoods. They said, 'Falun Gong practitioners are causing problems again' and then they covered our heads with the black hoods. They yelled at us gruffly, roughly ‘escorting’ us back into the police car. There were many civilians around us, watching. In my heart I knew we were just actors employed solely to create a false, horrible stereotype to deceive the general population. What a dirty trick! A couple of days later, the news anchor announced that the police had caught Falun Gong practitioners 'hatching plots.'”

He took a breath and carried on, “There was also the ‘self-immolation’ incident on Tiananmen Square. Other officers and I were put on patrol to keep order in Tiananmen Square and its vicinity. However, we were actually there to keep civilians, especially journalists, from watching the upcoming event about to occur. Despite our efforts to keep civilians out of the Square, plenty of people were busily flitting around in the middle of the Square, as if preparing for a spectacle. We officers discreetly speculated as to what was going on, wondering what absurd thing was going to occur next. When I saw the 'Self-immolation on Tiananmen Square' hoax on television, I immediately understood the truth of the matter. Everything orchestrated to demonize Falun Gong practitioners was done using impersonators and directed by the CCP, just like a play.” The former policeman paused and thought a second before saying, “Falun Gong practitioners are good people, so there is no reason to persecute them.”

My fellow practitioner soon helped him to quit the CCP, and the the former policeman went home a happy man.
