The Choice

Aug. 4, 2012 |   By a practitioner from Jilin Province

(Minghui.org) It was the busy time on our farm this spring, and I was about to do some farm work one morning when a fellow practitioner called me. She asked whether I could go to her home to discuss her plan to rescue her father, who was also a practitioner. She had hired two lawyers from Beijing to argue on his behalf. Since she could not get in touch with other practitioners and had no experience with court cases, she asked me to help her. I ran to her home immediately.

Everyone was busy with farm chores. Although I was also worried about mine, I thought I should cooperate with her to save our fellow practitioner. I knew it was selfish to worry about my own work, and when I realized this, I was embarrassed.

Two days flew by. When I got back home, the other farmers had already gotten their crops planted. It took me another two days to finish mine. Other people's corn did not grow very well this year, but my corn harvest turned out pretty well. Our neighbors were surprised that my corn stalks were one head higher than theirs. Some people asked me where I had bought the corn and which seed I had chosen. I said that I bought the seeds at the same place and used the same seed that they had. Actually, it was planted later than theirs. Because I am a Falun Dafa practitioner, my corn was very healthy and flourished.

Although we were late to plant our corn, the corn was very healthy. As a Dafa practitioner, if we can let go of our personal gain and place others first, Master will take care of everything. Everything is related to our cultivation. When we are doing the right thing, Master will arrange the best for us. Everything is also related to saving sentient beings and validating the Fa.

Now I have a deeper understanding of these two sentences. Everything we encounter in our cultivation is to test whether we believe in Master or not. If we can deal with those things with righteous thoughts, we will make the right choice.

A Big Corn Harvest without Using Fertilizer

By another practitioner from China

In the spring of 2009, my mother-in-law passed away. I inherited her nine-acre plot of land and planted two acres of peanuts and seven acres of corn. Without using any fertilizer, when autumn came, we had a big corn harvest. Nine Udumbara flowers blossomed on the corn leaves. I knew Master was encouraging me.

In 2010, our neighbor fertilized part of my corn without telling me. She wanted to make a comparison. It turned out that the ears on the corn on which she had used fertilizer were tiny. The ears without any fertilizer was big and plump.

In 2011, when autumn came we still had a big harvest of corn. Our neighbors said that they would also try not to use any fertilizer next year. I said, “Then you should recite, 'Falun Dafa is good and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.'” They really did. Their corn did well, and their faces were covered with bright smiles.
