(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 22 cities or counties in 12 provinces. In this report, 7 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 38 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Tianjin] Ms. Liu Yanrong and Ms. Wei Arrested
Officials from the Xincun Police Station arrested Ms. Liu Yanrong and Ms. Wei from the Tanggu District on the afternoon of July 20, 2012. The police also ransacked Ms. Liu’s home. Ms. Liu is currently incarcerated in the Tanggu District Detention Center. Ms. Wei has been released and has returned home.

2. [Taikang County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Fu Chenghua Detained, on Hunger Strike
Ms. Fu Chenghua was arrested on June 18, 2012, and subsequently sent to the Harbin Women’s Drug Rehabilitation Center (used as a detention facility). She has begun a hunger strike to protest the unlawful detention.

3. [Luobei City, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Mr. Liang Jinshu from Baoquanling, around 65 years of age, was arrested at home on July 5, 2012. His daughter Ms. Liang Li and Ms. Wang Xiaoju, another practitioner, were arrested at the same time. Their whereabouts are currently unknown.
4. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wen Defang Arrested
Ms. Wen Defang was arrested and taken to the Kaian Town Police Station on July 20, 2012.

5. [Beijing] Mr. Wang Lingqi Arrested; Whereabouts Unknown
Mr. Wang Lingqi from Chaoyang District was arrested at home on June 10, 2012, His whereabouts are still unknown.
6. [Yishui County, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Xizheng Arrested and Detained
Four to five police officers staked out Mr. Zhang Xizheng’s home and arrested Mr. Zhang right after he stepped outside on the morning of July 23, 2012. They confiscated his computer and many other personal belongings. Mr. Zhang was sent to the Xujiahu Detention Center.

7. [Yuanjiang City, Hunan Province]Ms. Chen Youyun and Ms. Guo Xueying Detained
Ms. Chen Youyun and Ms. Guo Xueying from Saibozui Town were arrested by Luhu Domestic Security Division officers while they spoke to people in Luhu about Falun Gong on the evening of July 21, 2012. The police sent them to the Yuanjiang Detention Center on July 23.
8. [Bin County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhang Hong and Ms. Wang Yanqin Detained
Tangfang Police Station officers arrested Ms. Zhang Hong and Ms. Wang Yanqin from Binzhou Town when the two practitioners clarified the facts about Falun Gong in Tangfang Town on the morning of July 22, 2012. Ms. Zhang and Ms. Wang were subsequently sent to the Bin County Second Detention Center.
9. [Anguo City, Hebei Province] Ms. Hao Shumin Arrested and Detained
Ms. Hao Shumin was arrested on July 22, 2012, when she informed people in a market about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is currently held in the Anguo Detention Center.

10. [Jingzhou County, Hunan Province] A Family of Three Arrested
Ms. Tang, Mr. Zhang and their daughter were arrested on July 22, 2012. The police ransacked their home. Their whereabouts are currently unknown.

11. [Fangchenggang City, Guangxi Province] Ms. Zhang Youqun Arrested and Detained
Ms. Zhang Youqun was arrested at home on July 24, 2012, by Liang Fujin and other police officers. She is currently incarcerated in the Fangchenggang City Detention Center.
12. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Huanzhong and His Wife Arrested
Mr. Wang Huanzhong and his wife, Ms. Li Li, from Dianqian Village of Economic and Technological Development Area were arrested on the morning of July 24, 2012, as they distributed letters asking people to attend the Pingdu Court hearing for Falun Gong practitioner Wang Guangwei.
13. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Cai Yanfen Arrested and Detained
A number of Domestic Security Division officers, including Li Xiao, Qi Li and Li Zaichen, broke into Ms. Cai Yanfen’s home on the morning of July 22, 2012. They arrested Ms. Cai, forcibly took her to the Domestic Security Division and then transferred her to a detention center.

14. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Li Hong Detained Since May 2012
Ms. Li Hong was arrested by officers from the Wucheng Road Police Station in early May 2012. She is still detained.

15. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Shengyuan Arrested
Officials from the Wuyi Square Police Station arrested Mr. Wang Shengyuan from Dalian City when he spoke with people about Falun Gong on the afternoon of July 23, 2012.
16. [Jinxian County, Jiangxi Province] Five Practitioners Arrested
Five practitioners from Lidu Town, including Ms. Zou Liumei and Ms. Wu Chunling, were arrested at home on the evening of July 23, 2012, by officials from the Jinxian County 610 Office and the Lidu Town Police Station.

17. [Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Hua Jindi Sentenced to Forced Labor; Mr. Sun Jianhua Sent to Brainwashing Center
Following their arrest, Ms. Hua Jindi from Xixinqiaoer Village was sentenced to one year of forced labor and Mr. Sun Jianhua was sent to a brainwashing center.
18. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Han Fuyou Arrested and Detained
Mr. Han Fuyou was arrested by Suibin County police on the afternoon of July 23, 2012, when he distributed informational materials that called for rescue of Falun Gong practitioners incarcerated in the Suibin Detention Center. He is currently incarcerated in the Suibin Detention Center.
19. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Xin Sent to Shenyang City First Detention Center
Ms. Wang Xin was arrested by Dadongmen Police Station officers when she clarified the facts about Falun Gong on July 22, 2012. She was sent to the Shenyang City First Detention Center.
20. [Yinchuan City, Ningxia Autonomous Region] Mr. Li Jinning Secretly Sentenced to 7 Years in Prison
Mr. Li Jinning was arrested in March 2012 and incarcerated in the Yinchuan City Detention Center, where he has been detained for more than 4 months. Recently, Mr. Li was secretly sentenced to 7 years of imprisonment.
21. [Zhongwei City, Ningxia Autonomous Region] Ms. Zhang Fenge Secretly Sentenced to 3.5 Years in Prison
Ms. Zhang Fenge was located and followed after sending truth-clarifying messages about Falun Gong via cell phone. She was arrested on September 27, 2011, by Domestic Security Division agents Li Jinxiao, Li Cunshan and Li Zhanhong, and sent to the Zhongwei City Detention Center, where she has been held for more than 9 months. Recently, she was secretly sentenced to 3.5 years of imprisonment.
22. [Taian City, Shandong Province] Ms. Shang Yuzhen Arrested
Ms. Shang Yuzhen was arrested at home on July 19, 2012.
23. [Mancheng County, Hebei Province] Ms. Fan Guotian and Ms. Lian Fengzhen Arrested
Mr. Fan Guotian and Ms. Lian Fengzhen, who are in their 70s, were arrested on the morning of July 23, 2012, by Ran Kai and other officials from the Bailong Township government. Ms. Lian managed to escape. Ms. Fan has been released.

24. [Chaoyang County, Liaoning Province] More Than a Dozen Practitioners Arrested
A number of practitioners were arrested in June 2012 by Zhao Qiang, head of the Chaoyang County Domestic Security Division. Among the arrested practitioners were Mr. Jiang Zhonghua, Ms. Han Mingxian, Ms. Wang Lixin, Mr. Liu Guohua, Ms. Cao Fuyan and Mr. Xiu Shujun. Domestic Security Division agents also confiscated Ms. Han’s three cars. Mr. Jiang, Ms. Han, Ms. Wang, Mr. Liu, Ms. Cao and Mr. Xiu are still detained. The other practitioners were released after police extorted money from them.
On the evening of July 19, 2012, more than 30 plainclothes policemen from the Chaoyang County Police Department broke into Ms. Li Yuqin’s home in Yangshangou Village, Qidaoling Township. They arrested Ms. Li, as well as Ms. Liu Yanqiu, Ms. Dong Jiuqin, Mr. Dong Jiuxue, Mr. Liu Zhiquan and Ms. Xia Fengquan, who were visiting Ms. Li at that time.
