(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Liu Changqing has been sentenced to prison for four years by a Junan County court, in Shandong Province. He is currently detained at Shandong Tai'an Prison. His wife has passed away and his two children are at home without someone to care for them.

Liu Changqing had been very weak since he was little, suffering from chronic dizziness and stomach problems. After practicing Falun Dafa, he became healthy. In addition, he followed the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and was always kind to others. Since he began practicing Falun Dafa his family life has been harmonious.

Four police officers from the Junan County 610 Office arrived in Shigoudong Village in two police vans at 11:00 a.m. on November 17, 2011. They arrested Liu Changqing and confiscated many of his personal belongings. When asked to report on other practitioners, Liu Changqing refused. He consequently was brutally tortured and sentenced to prison.

Liu Changqing's wife passed away three years ago, leaving behind two children. His daughter is in the eleventh grade in high school and his son is attending elementary school. Liu Changqing has been the sole provider for his two children on his small income. Since his imprisonment, his family has fallen into a truly difficult situation, as his two young children are traumatized and uncared for. Liu Changqing's elderly father misses his son and is now trying to care for his two grandchildren.
