(Minghui.org) My Aunt (my Uncle's wife) lived in the countryside. Her husband was tortured to death during the Cultural Revolution, and she raised her three children with great difficulty. Day after day, year after year, she labored in the field and developed many diseases. She lived in a remote village and seldom went to town. Only after she finished work in the autumn did she find time to live together with us in town.
In 1997, when my Aunt came to visit us after the autumn harvest, she was using a walking stick. I was frightened at the sight of her and said, “It's been about six months since I saw you last. What's wrong with your legs? Have you been injured in an accident? Why are you bow-legged? Why are you using a walking stick?” I felt very sad at that moment and burst into tears.
My Aunt said, “It wasn't an accident. I was planning to come here a long time ago, but couldn't make it because I was too busy in the field. As soon as I finished the work, just several days ago, my legs started to ache and it worsened day after day. Within less than a week, both legs were deformed. I had no choice, so I came here to see if doctors in the hospital can cure my disease.”
I had already learned Falun Dafa at that time, and I spoke to my Aunt sincerely, “I am now practicing Falun Gong. Your disease is not a serious problem. You will be all right as soon as you learn to practice Falun Gong. Do you know that I had rheumatism before? I had to wear cotton pants even in June. Now the disease is gone.”
I continued telling her the wonders of Dafa. My Aunt had very good inborn quality, and she listened to me attentively. She asked me, “Who is 'my Teacher'?” I decided to play Teacher's lectures for her, as she was illiterate and couldn't read. When she was listening to Teacher's lectures, she was very serious and constantly nodded and said “Yes, yes, yes.” She said to me, “His voice is so familiar to me. It seems that I have seen or heard him somewhere before.” My Aunt went on listening to Teacher's lectures for about five hours.
The following morning, I went to the practice site. I didn't take my Aunt with me because she was having difficulty walking. When I went back home, she was sitting there cross-legged and imitating Teacher's posture of 'erecting the palm' from His picture. She had been sitting in meditation for one hour. I was very happy. I said, “Auntie, you really understand well. No one has ever taught you to sit in meditation, how do you know how to sit cross-legged?” She said, “I just sit like Teacher's posture in the picture. Teacher erects His palm and I erect my palm too. I don't know what to say, so I just say 'Teacher is good' in my heart.”
One week later, my Aunt's legs had recovered, though she didn't go to the hospital, nor did she take any medicine. The distance between her home and the railway station was 9 kilometers (5.6 miles). On her way to our home, her son took her to the railway station by motorcycle. On her way back, she walked on her own from the railway station to her home. My Aunt told me in person that she "floated" back home because it felt like she was levitating as soon as she got off the train.
After my Aunt was back home, people in her small village were shocked. The news that my Aunt had learned a divine practice was spread from one person to ten, to hundreds of people. They all knew that the practice she learned was very magical and could turn bowed legs into straight legs. Within only a few days, more than 20 people wanted to learn the Falun Gong practice from her. My Aunt was illiterate and couldn't explain clearly, but so many people wanted to learn the practice. What should she do? She had no choice, so she asked her son to go to my home and bring Teacher's lectures, both audio and video. He also purchased a video player. A practice site with over 20 practitioners was then set up.
My Aunt had developed a disease during her confinement in childbirth. A bump as big as a piece of steamed bread had grown in her stomach. You could feel it cool and hard even while touching her stomach. The big bump followed her for years and she suffered a lot of pain from it. Every winter when I went to visit her, I saw her heat a piece of brick on the stove, wrap it with a piece of thick clothing and then hold it to warm her stomach. However, after she learned Falun Dafa, she felt Falun turning around her stomach whenever she practiced the exercises. Sometimes Falun turned so fiercely that she couldn’t stand still. Sometimes she heard the sound of Falun while it was spinning. My Aunt said that the Falun turned like a windmill that was used for spinning thread in the village, and was unstoppable. Falun Dafa is truly a magical practice. The large lump inside her stomach disappeared soon after she began practicing Falun Gong.
A woman at her practice site who was almost blind recovered her eyesight not long after she began practicing Falun Gong. In order to validate Dafa, she hand made a small cotton coat and showed it to other practitioners at the practice site.
There was a man who suffered from paralysis who also benefited from Dafa. Soon after he began practicing Falun Gong, Teacher purified his body. He threw away his two walking sticks and walked on his own. In order to validate the wonder of Dafa and Teacher’s greatness, he ran around the village many times. The people in the village witnessed the wonder of Dafa. More than 20 new practitioners joined the practice.
Time flies. My Aunt is now 80 years old, and she has practiced Falun Dafa for 15 years. She has never needed any medicine but she has remained very healthy. In her village, most of the people of her age are either ill or have passed away, and only few are still alive today. However, my Aunt is validating the Fa by using her sound health. Several years ago, in order to save people, she went back to her hometown and persuaded her relatives to quit the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations.
