(Minghui.org) Ms. Fang Yunbao, a retired teacher of the Hubei College of Finance and Economics (which has merged with Wuhan University of Technology) and her husband Mr. He Chengyong went to Beijing to take care of their two and a half year old granddaughter. Ms. Fang was arrested on November 2, 2012 by unidentified police officers and plainclothes men who suddenly broke into and ransacked their home. Mr. He, at age 66, became unconscious as a result of being frightened and eventually passed away on December 25, 2012.

Ms. Fang's family members went to the Haidian Detention Center to request that she be released to attend Mr. He's funeral and were rejected. The Beijing City Police Department Re-education Through Labor Committee issued a so-called Re-education through Labor Written Decision on November 27, 2012 and sentenced Ms. Fang to two years and six months of forced labor.

Since they began to practice Falun Gong in 1995, the couple had been enjoying better health. They had a happy and harmonious family. Falun Dafa has brought them and their family improved morals and healthy bodies. Ms. Fang is a retired employee of the Wuhan University of Technology. Since she started to practice Falun Gong, she has benefited tremendously both physically and mentally and all of her illnesses disappeared. During the period when she taught at the Hubei College of Finance and Economics, she was diligent and hard working. Because she was kind and open-minded, Ms. Fang was highly praised by students and other teachers. Mr. He is a retired employee of the Hubei Construction Bank Huangzhou Branch.

The elderly couple were in excellent health as a result of the practice. Their extended family of three generations had very good relationships and lived happily. In order to ensure the safety of the so-called 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the authorities of the Beijing City Police Department used mobile positioning technology to follow Ms. Fang home at around 8 p.m. on November 2, 2012. They illegally arrested Ms. Fang while she was at home alone. Mr. He was out of town at the time with their daughter's family. Upon returning on November 3, he found his wife gone and their home ransacked and left in disarray. Their personal belongings were scattered everywhere on the floor and there were many cigarette butts and pieces of gum on the floor. Their valuables, such as three laptop computers (among them, two were their daughter and son-in-law's work computers), two printers, and 4,000 yuan in cash were confiscated. Seeing his home wrecked and that his wife had been taken away, Mr. He passed out. He vomited large amounts then became unconscious and was taken to the Emergency Room to be rescued. He was diagnosed by the hospital to have suffered a brainstem hemorrhage and remained unconscious. Ms. Fang was detained at the Beijing Haidian Detention Center, cell number 1206. She was not able to be by her husband's side to take care of him.

After being unconscious for nearly two months, Mr. He passed away on December 25, 2012. The couple who had shared a life together for half a century, through good times and bad, was separated by life and death and couldn't even be with each other during the final days.

On July 20, 1999, the then leader of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Jiang Zemin launched the persecution against Falun Gong. In order to adhere to their faith and uphold the truth, millions of practitioners lost their lives as a result of the CCP's persecution. The Wuhan City Police Department investigated Ms. Fang and the result was that “Ms. Fang has an excellent reputation!” On January 10, 2001, police officer Yang Shuwei, sent by the authorities of the Luojiashan Police Station, arrested Ms. Fang and sent her to the notorious Wuhan City Hewan Forced Labor Camp, where she was persecuted for a year and a half. In November of 2002, as she did not comply with being “transformed”, Ms. Fang was forcibly sent to the Tangxunhu Brainwashing Center. Externally known as the “Legal Education Class,” the brainwashing center is actually a place that the CCP set up specifically to operate above the law and persecute Falun Gong practitioners. In just a few days, Ms. Fang developed numbness as a result of the severe torture she was subjected to. The result of the diagnosis was that she suffered from a stroke. On September 27, 2007, the school party secretary Yang Chongcai personally tricked Ms. Fang to the office and she was again arrested by police officers of the Wuhan City Wenbao Precinct Luojiashan Police Station and sent to Tangxunhu Brainwashing Center. Her home was ransacked and all personal belongings confiscated. Ms. Fang's husband, Mr. He, had been detained at his workplace beforehand.

Ms. Fang is currently being illegally detained at the Beijing Haidian Detention Center, cell number 1206. Her granddaughter cries for grandma and grandpa every day. A once happy family filled with laughter is now broken due to the CCP's persecution and atrocities against Falun Gong. We would like to call upon all people to extend a helping hand to rescue Ms. Fang.
