It is an honor to share my cultivation experience with fellow practitioners during the 9th Internet Experience Sharing Conference.

Treating Co-worker Well Despite Conflict

When I started a new job, the person that formerly held the position gave me a hard time, making it difficult to learn my tasks. She told me that she was at odds with me. She just couldn’t resist being rude. I told her that I could understand her feelings and opposition to me, “You are very straightforward and say whatever you think. I think it is good that you are this way.”

While working with her I could see that she was not very competent in whatever she was doing. I completed her assignments, but needed to get direction from the manager. The situation was not very pleasant and I thought about discussing it with the manager without getting her into trouble. I used the Fa to guide me. I looked at two options and realized that one of them was not within the Fa, as I wanted to prove that I was better than her. My attachment to competition and showing off had not been eliminated. The other option wasn’t any better, because it would have told the manager her shortcomings and lacked compassion.

I looked within before taking any action and didn’t approach the manager until I found a way that created the least problems for my co-worker.

Master said,

“We should all speak according to a practitioner's xinxing rather than create conflicts or say something improper. As practitioners, we must measure ourselves with the standard of the Fa to determine whether we should say certain things. What should be said will not present a problem if one complies with the xinxing standard for practitioners according to the Fa.” (Zhuan Falun)

Improving Moral Character

There are six individuals in my department, and colleagues from other areas come to visit often. I buy some snacks to share, but one colleague distributes them without asking me at times. At another time she adjusted the temperature after hearing that a colleague was running a fever and felt cold. However, she turned the heat down instead of turning it up. I addressed the situation with the thoughts of a practitioner.

I tried to act according to the Falun Dafa principles Truthfulness-Compassion- Forbearance, and as a result, both management and co-workers acknowledged my good behavior. One colleague was jealous and wanted to get me in trouble. One time, a supplier was unhappy and she sent the supplier to me, although it was someone else’s responsibility. I treated the situation as a cultivator, although the supplier was rather abusive. Because of my calmness, my colleague couldn’t succeed in making me look bad.

I had a dream the previous night that was like a forewarning. I dreamed that a beetle king and beetles were attacking me. I calmly said, “Falun Dafa is good!” and they stopped attacking. The supplier looked just like the beetle king. Later, the supplier thanked me and said that he appreciated my good behavior.

I felt that that particular colleague helped me raise my xinxing and was sad that she had to create these situations for me to improve in my cultivation.

I did not forget the standard for judging good and bad

I clarified the truth of Falun Dafa from a third party’s perspective in the office. My colleagues understood what I was telling them and were supportive.

I used to tell my family about a colleague and they then belittled her. I suddenly realized that it was wrong to badmouth the colleague to my family. Because of my bad attitude, my family committed a sin and lost de. I realized that I had to stop badmouthing others. I wasn’t living by Falun Dafa principles while dragging people through the mud. Was I living by the principles Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance or by ordinary society’s standard?

Master said, “Zhen-Shan-Ren Is the Sole Criterion To Discern Good and Bad People.” (Zhuan Falun)

I stopped talking about my colleagues and cleared my mind of thoughts that belittled other people. But when I met with a former colleague who had given me a hard time, I thought badly of her. I realized immediately that my thoughts were wrong and that they created karma.

Walking the Path Arranged by Master

One day a colleague asked me to help her learn my job. I was very annoyed and said, “There is nothing you could learn.” I was in a bad mood that day, thinking how much I had to go through in learning this new job. After looking within, I realized that this was wrong and it was Master who gave me the ability to do what I’m doing. I improved my xinxing and let go of selfishness.

I finally understood that my work environment was the cultivation environment that Master arranged for me. I will cherish it and cultivate well. The more complicated it is, the greater the requirements. I should not let Master down.
