(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Yong Fang and her sister, Ms. Yong Fangzhi, from Anshan, Liaoning Province, were arrested on October 25, 2012. The police also ransacked their home and held them in a detention center. Ms. Yong Fang was mistreated in the detention center and was even taken to the hospital for emergency care. As a result of the abuse, her physical condition is now very poor. Ms. Yong's sister was released on the same day she was arrested. However, due to the extreme mental stress, she passed away on December 14, 2012.

Ms. Yong Fang and Ms. Yong Fangzhi went to Tiedong Court in Anshan on the morning of October 25, 2012, to attend a hearing for five practitioners. At around 10:40 a.m., several police cars showed up, and officers got out of the cars and arrested more than 40 practitioners and their family members who were waiting outside the courthouse for the hearing. Among them were Ms. Yong and her sister, who were taken to the Anshan City Police Department.

Officers from Duilu Police Station broke into their home and ransacked it. Many of their personal belongings, cash, and Falun Gong books were taken. Ms. Yong Fang's husband and son were also arrested.

At around 10:00 p.m., Ms. Yong Fangzhi and Ms. Yong Fang's husband and son were released. Ms. Yong Fang was then taken to the Anshan Women's Detention Center.

Ms. Yong Fang was given a physical exam in the detention center. Her blood pressure was up to 220, so the detention center authorities refused to accept her. However, on the morning of October 26, the police nonetheless put her in the detention center. The next day, she was taken to a hospital for medical treatment because of her critical condition. Ms. Yong Fang is still detained at Anshan Women's Detention Center. She is in very poor health.

The illegal arrest and detainment caused Ms. Yong Fangzhi great distress. After she returned home, she couldn't eat or sleep. After a few days, to make things worse, the police informed them that Ms. Yong Fang was in critical condition and had been taken to a hospital for emergency care. This was another blow for Ms. Yong Fangzhi and far exceeded what she could bear. Traumatized, and due the extreme mental pressure, she died on December 14, 2012, at the age of 54.
