Ms. He Guihong from Jiayu County, Hubei Province was arrested by Chinese communist regime personnel in Xianning City on June 30, 2010. She was sent to a brainwashing center known to the public as “Hubei Legal Education Center” on July 2. She was subjected to many types of brutal torture in the brainwashing center, including forced injections with unknown drugs. The only reason she was persecuted was that she is a Falun Gong practitioner who believes in “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance,” and persisted in her beliefs.

After Ms. He began practicing Falun Gong in 1996, many of her diseases disappeared, including anemia, vertigo, constipation, schistosomiasis, and tuberculosis. She worked at the Reed Field of Jiayu County at the time. She was hardworking and responsible at work, and was rewarded as Hebei Province's model worker. She was transferred to work at the monetary authority of Paizhouwan Town in Jiayu County in 1997, and awarded as a model worker at the city and county level many times.

Ms. He went to work in Xianning City in 2009. Around the end of 2009, Jin Chengsu, the director of the monetary authority and accountant, teamed up with Paizhouwan Police Station director Long Jixue and attempted to arrest Ms. He by inviting her to eat in a restaurant. The attempt did not succeed.

Zou Yu from Xianning's Domestic Security Subdivision then searched for Ms. He in all of the residential areas and supermarkets. They then tried to track her by her ID. Ms. He used her ID to register at the Agriculture Bank on June 28, 2010, and then used her bank card at the “1+8” retain chain store. The police were then able to figure out that she worked at the “1+8” store.

Zou Yu, Wang Ping, and Sun Qi from the Xianning's Domestic Security Subdivision, Wang Furong, deputy director of Jianyu County 610 Office, and police officers Chen Keping and Sun Zongwen from Jiayu County's Domestic Security hid in the “1+8” store for an entire day on June 30, 2010, but didn't see Ms. He.

Five people including Zou Yu, Wang Ping, and Sun Qi, forcibly arrested Ms. He at the “1+8” store on July 1, and handcuffed her hands behind her back. Ms. He yelled, “There is nothing wrong with trying to be a good person. Why are you arresting me? Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!” They covered her mouth and pushed her into a small car. The car first stopped at Xianning City Police Station, where two men and a woman left the car. She was taken to the Quanyou Hotel in Jiayu County. Ms. He was detained in the hotel for a day and a night.

At around 3:00 p.m. on July 1, Chen Keping, Sun Qi, and Sun Zongwen held Ms. He down on a bed, and Chen hit Ms. He's face with his fist three times. Ms. He's face became swollen, with her eye swelling up so badly that she had difficulty seeing. They also took her keys and cell phone from her locker inside the “1+8” store.

A number of people brought Ms. He to the brainwashing center known publicly as “Hubei Legal Education Center” shortly after 8:00 a.m. on July 2. These people included the director of Jiayu County Political and Law Committee and the director of the 610 Office Chen Mingbao, deputy director Wang Furong, Chen Keping, Long Xueji, Paizhouwan Stability Control Center director Ye Kunshan, and two other personnel.

Because Ms. He had injuries and cuts all over her body, the brainwashing center refused to accept her. But these people then brought in a fake health examination certificate (Ms. He was not examined). The brainwashing center still wouldn't accept her. In the end, these people bribed the brainwashing center with 2,000 yuan, which was accepted by someone named Liu Qiong, and Ms. He was then accepted.

In the brainwashing center, Ms. He yelled “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” She was forcefully carried to the second floor by eight people, with one person holding her head, two holding her arms, two holding her legs, one using a piece of cloth to stop her from yelling, one taking video, and one female officer watching on the side. On the second floor, she was watched by several police officers every day, and more than a dozen people took turns talking to her, offering a variety of lies about Falun Dafa and Falun Dafa's Master. She was also forced to watch slanderous videos.

Many 610 Office personnel from all over the country came to visit the brainwashing center between late July and early August. Another time many 610 Office personnel from the province came to visit. Both times Ms. He was locked in a room and not allowed to be seen.

Ms. He was subjected to a variety of tortures in the brainwashing center. She was forced to stand for long periods of time, totaling over 40 days. She was forced to stand for over 20 hours a day for over 20 days, and was not allowed to use the restroom. Her feet were swollen so badly that she could no longer walk.

Balm was rubbed in her eyes, and she was shocked with electric batons. She was forced to sit on a tiger-bench, where her legs were tied to the chair's leg, her arms tied to the chair's armrest, and her body tied to the chair's back, for three consecutive days.

Ms. He was force-fed twice a day with a plastic tube which was inserted into her nose and mouth. A female nurse purposely pushed it in and pulled it out several times just to torture her, and as a result her nostrils were bleeding from inside, her eyes were bleeding, and the food she spit out had blood in it.

Liu Cheng, who was the captain of the second team in the brainwashing center, wrote on Ms. He's arms, face, and chest the so called “statement for breaking-up,” to insult her and coerce her into giving up her belief.

Torture reenactment: Force-feeding

Because Ms. He protested by not eating or drinking, she was tied to the tiger bench and injected with an unknown liquid drug. This caused dizziness, and increased the swelling in her feet, to the point where she could no longer walk steadily. When the drug was injected, police officer Jiang Lili openly told Ms. He, “This is an injection of poison.”

After more than 40 days of torture, Ms. He still refused to give up her cultivation, and Jiang threatened her, “Don't you guys say that we harvest organs from living people? You are very healthy. We can take your organs right away and no one will know about it.”

Jiang was the vice captain of the “second team,” and soon after she said this, several groups of people came secretly to look at her. To this day Ms. He is not totally sure what they wanted. Sometimes there were just one or two people, and sometimes more. They only looked at her, but would not talk with Ms. He. They seemed to be afraid of being seen by her. Whenever Ms. He noticed them, they turned around and left.

On the day that Ms. He was released, Zou Yu and Wang Pin of Xianning City teamed up with Chen Keping and Sun Zongwen of Jiayu County to threaten Ms. He. They told her that she must turn in her laptop and mp4 player, otherwise she would be sent to a forced labor camp.

Ms. He was detained for over 90 days in the brainwashing center. Her body and mind were both greatly harmed. Her esophagus and stomach were severely damaged.
