(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 7 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 15 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Meizhou, Guangdong Province] Elderly Ms. Mei Zhen Harassed

Ms. Mei Zhen, in her 70s, from Jiangbei Dalangkou in the Meizhoucheng District was harassed by police from Meijiang District around September 15, 2013. Her home was illegally searched. Police took away her Dafa books.

2. [Kelamayi, Xinjiang] Ms. Wang Liping Illegally Imprisoned

Ms. Wang Liping from Kelamayi was illegally sentenced to five years of imprisonment and sent to Xinjiang Women's Prison in mid-August.

3. [Beijing] Over Ten Practitioners Arrested

Police ransacked the home of Ms. Wang Xiuqin from Houzhang Village in the Changping District on September 24, 2013. They arrested Ms. Wang. That same day, over ten practitioners from Xilitun, including Ms. Li Guixiang and Ms. Li Xiuqin, were also illegally arrested.

4. [Huining County, Gansu Province] Mr. Li Shouzi Detained

Mr. Li Shouzi from Xinzhuang Village, Xinzhuang Township, Huining County, was born in July 1975. Mr. Li was arrested from his home and taken to Huining County Lockup on July 5, 2013, by Hu Xiaodong, head of Guocheng Township Police Station, and six others from Huining County Police Department. On July 19, Huining Police Department admitted Mr. Li to the Huining County Detention Center.

5. [Huaying City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Peng Qingling Arrested

Ms. Peng Qingling from Huaying City, Guangan, was arrested by police from Huajiong while she was telling people about the facts about Falun Gong on the morning on September 27, 2013.

Ms. He Jirong from Xuyong County was arrested on a bus and taken to the police department by Luo Zhongping from the Domestic Security Division on the morning on September 29, 2013. Police took her cell phone and a USB drive.

8. [Jianping County, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhao Hongli Detained

Mr. Zhao Hongli from Jianping County was arrested on September 8, 2013. After being held in custody for 15 days, he was transferred to Jianping County Detention Center.

9. [Beijing] Ms. Xu Dafang Arrested

Officers from Yongwai Police Station arrested Ms. Xu Dafang on September 26, 2013.

10. [Wuhan, Hubei Province] Ms. Fan Liangying and Ms. Wang Rongfang Arrested

Ms. Fan Liangying and Ms. Wang Rongfang from Wuhan were arrested by Qinduankou Police Station officers on August 23, 2013. Their houses were ransacked. Ms. Fan was taken to Tiesiyuan in Wuchang. Her family treated the police to dinner and she was released. Ms. Wang was detained at Dongxihu Erzhigou Women's Detention Center. Officials told her family to give them 20,000 yuan for her release, otherwise she would be sentenced by the court.

11. [Bozhou City, Anhui Province] Mr. Cui Yong Arrested

Mr. Cui Yong was arrested on the evening of September 25, 2013.

12. [Qihe County, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Zongqiang Arrested

Mr. Zhang Zongqiang from Qihe County was arrested on September 19, 2013, by Pandian Township Police Station officers when he was distributing truth clarification materials. He is being detained at Qihe County Domestic Security Division. Fang Yuping, head of the division, took Mr. Zhang's personal car and his driver's license. He also took Mr. Zhang's Dafa books, a computer, and 9,000 yuan in cash.
