(Minghui.org) On the morning of November 15, 2013, multiple arrests of Falun Gong practitioners took place in Shijiazhuang City, Pingshan County and Luancheng County in Hebei Province. At least 18 practitioners were reportedly harassed or arrested. At present, most of them are being held in the county police department or detention center. It appears that the arrests were a coordinated action by officers from the Shijiazhuang State Security Bureau.
A Dozen Falun Gong Practitioners Harassed or Arrested in Shijiazhuang City
Over a dozen practitioners in Shijiazhuang City were harassed or arrested, including Chen Tiankui, Feng Xiaomei, Cheng Wenfen, Wang Xiaofeng, Meng Defen, Qi Xiangcai, Bai Caiping, Niu Minjie, Song Aichang, Hu Yanxia, Zhang Shuyun, and Dong Zhanhai.
After Niu Minjie was arrested, his blood pressure reached 270/120. He was in critical condition. Dongyuan Police Station released him after his family demanded his release.
After practitioner Ms. Bai Caiping was arrested, she was sent to Lianmeng Police Station. The detention center refused to take her due to her hypertension. She was released in the evening of the same day.
Four Practitioners from Pingshan County Arrested
On the morning of November 15, 2013, four practitioners, An Sanqing, Xing Shenghui, Dong Chunsheng, and Zhang Yingtong from Pingshan County, were arrested at their homes by the county police.
On November 15, 2013, at 5 a.m., a dozen police officers, including Zhao Wei and director Liu Xinwei from the Huishe Police Station, cut off An Sanqing's power supply. They then broke into his home, ransacked it, and took away his computer, two printers and over 1,000 CDs, before arresting him.
A group of police officers from Dawu Police Station, led by Wang Yanping, deputy director of Pingshan Police Department, broke into Zhang Yingtong's home in Fengxudaqi Village. Four police officers pushed Zhang Yingtong onto the ground, ransacked her house, arrested her and took her to Pingshan Police Department.
Dong Chunsheng's computer was confiscated. Later, on November 15, at 8 p.m., he was released.
At present, An Sanqing, Zhang Yingtong, and Xing Shenghui are being detained in Lingshou County Detention Center. It was reported that Cui Guoqiang, deputy director of Pingshan County Police Department, was mainly responsible for the arrests.
It was also reported that the arrests were due to practitioners' phones being monitored. After they were arrested by the police department, the police played recordings of practitioners' phone conversations.
Shijiazhuang Luancheng County Police Department Arrested Two Falun Gong Practitioners
On November 15, 2013, at 6:00 a.m., police from Shijiazhuang City Luancheng County Police Department suddenly broke into practitioner Yan Ruimin's home and arrested her. They took away her personal items. At present, Yan Ruimin's whereabouts are unknown.
On the same day, police officers from Nangao Police Station broke into practitioner Liu Huicai's home and arrested her. Ms. Liu is currently being held in Luancheng Police Department.
