(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 19 cities or counties in 12 provinces. In this report, 14 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 13 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Tortured in Prison, Ms. Liu Zhi in Critical Condition
Ms. Liu Zhi has been tortured in the Liaoning Provincial Women's Prison. Her life is in danger.
2. [Beijing] Ms. Fan Yuhuan Sentenced to Six Years in Prison
Ms. Fan Yuhuan, 49, is from Nankou Town, Changping District, Beijing. She was arrested again by local officers during the Eighteenth National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party. She was sentenced to six years in prison. As a result of her multiple arrests, her son was not able to submit tuition and consequently dismissed from school
Ms. Fan is an employee at a unit of the Beijing Railway Bureau. In the past 13 years, she has been arrested, detained, sent to forced labor camps and sentenced to prison terms by agents from the Nankou Town 610 Office in Changping District, the 610 Office of Changping District Committee, and the Railway Police Department. She was held in the Changping District Detention Center, the Changping District Custody Center, the Chaoyang District Detention Center, the Chaoyang District Custody Center, the Beijing Women's Prison, and the Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp in Beijing.
3. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Xu Xudong Detained
Mr. Xu Xudong is from Yun County, Shiyan City and was temporarily living in Wangjiawan, Hanyang District, Wuhan City. He was stuffed into a car by six or seven plainclothes officers on the evening of February 26, 2013. When his wife tried to stop them, two plainclothes officers took her into another car, which had no license plate, and immediately drove away. Mr. Xu is being held in the Yun County Detention Center in Shiyan City. His wife was released.
4. [Enshi Autonomous Prefecture, Hubei Province] Ms. Bian Qili and Ms. Luo Xianyun Detained
Ms. Bian Qili and Ms. Luo Xianyun from Lichuan City, Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture were arrested by officers from the Maoba Township Police Station on the evening of February 17, 2013. They were sent to the Lichuan City Domestic Security Division that night. Ms. Bian is being held in the Maanshan Detention Center in Lichuan City. Ms. Luo developed symptoms of sickness and was once handcuffed in the Lichuan City People's Hospital for a treatment. She is now also being held in the Maanshan Detention Center in Lichuan City.

5. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Shufen Arrested
Ms. Wang Shufen from Jilin City was arrested by officers from the Yanjiangjie Police Station on the morning of February 27, 2012 for explaining the facts about Falun Gong in public. Her home was ransacked that evening.
6. [Xishui County, Guizhou Province] Ms. Ren Jialian and Ms. Gu Mingying Detained
Ms. Ren Jialian and Ms. Gu Mingying from Xishui County, both in their 50s, were arrested at their homes by agents from the Xishui State Security Bureau on January 18, 2013 and February 1, 2013 respectively. They are being held in a detention center.
7. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Xie Jinde Held in Hulan Prison
Mr. Xie Jinde from Acheng District, Harbin City was sentenced to five years in prison by the Acheng District Court. He was taken to the Hulan Prison in Harbin on February 27, 2013.
8. [Gaomi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Chuanzhen Detained
Ms. Wang Chuanzhen from Gaomi City was taken to the Nanguan Police Station on the morning of February 27, 2013 for handing out informational materials about Falun Gong. When her mother and younger sister went to the police station to ask for her release, they were told that Ms. Wang had been sent to a detention center.
9. [Xiangyang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Wang Mulian Has Difficulty Walking Due to Persecution
Ms. Wang Mulian from Xiangyang City was arrested for handing out Shen Yun performance DVDs on September 21, 2012. She was sent to the Hubei Provincial Women's Forced Labor Camp (also known as the Drug Rehabilitation Institution) on September 27, 2012. For the past several months, the camp authorities have not allowed her family or friends to visit her or bring her any money. It was recently discovered that Ms. Wang has developed difficulty walking and needs help to get around.
10. [Muleng City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Shuzhi and Ms. Liu Lilan Detained
Ms. Li Shuzhi and Ms. Liu Lilan from Maqiaohe Town, Muleng City were arrested by local officers on February 27, 2013 for distributing Shen Yun performance DVDs. They were then taken to the Muleng City Detention Center that afternoon by agents from the Muleng City Domestic Security Division and the Muleng City 610 Office.

11. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yu Ying Detained
Ms. Yu Ying was arrested for handing out Shen Yun DVDs on the afternoon of February 27, 2013. She is being held in then Anshan City No.3 Detention Center.

12. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Wang Arrested
Mr. Wang, over 40, is from Wangjiawan, Hanyang District, Wuhan City. He was arrested at home on the evening of February 26, 2013. His whereabouts are unknown.
13. [Qingyuan County, Hebei Province] Ms. Hu Guiqing Severely Persecuted
Ms. Hu Guiqing from Qingyuan County is on a hunger strike protesting the persecution. The Shijiazhuang Women's Forced Labor Camp authorities contacted her family and asked them to persuade Ms. Hu to stop the hunger strike. The family went to visit Ms. Hu on February 27, 2013, finding her emaciated with a yellow complexion and dull looking eyes. She did not speak a word during the visit.
14. [Nanyang City, Henan Province] Mr. Wang Tao Detained
Mr. Wang Tao from Wolong District, Nanyang City was arrested by plainclothes officers in the People's Park on February 14, 2013 for talking about Falun Gong. He is being held in the Yonganlu Detention Center in Nanyang City.
15. [Daan City, Jilin Province] Yueliangpao Police Station Authorities Extorted 40,000 Yuan from Practitioners' Families
Two practitioners from Daan City were taken to a detention center on October 20, 2012 by officers from the Yueliangpao Police Station, including director Zhao Dazhong, officer Chen Yamin and Mou Zijing. They were released after 15 days. Their families were extorted 40,000 yuan, and 30,000 of it was submitted to Zhao Dazhong.

16. [Yuyao City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Li Caiping Held in Women's Prison for Six Years
Ms. Li Caiping from Yuyao City is being held in an isolated cell in Zhejiang Provincial Women's Prison. She was arrested on June 11, 2006 and sentenced to 4.5 years. Her family went to the prison on February 22, 2013 and asked for a visit. The request was turned down. The family strongly protested. Finally, the prison authorities allowed Ms. Li to meet her family.
17. [Guangdong Province] Mr. Liu Yongwen Detained
Mr. Liu Yongwen was arrested for handing out informational materials about Falun Gong on his way home from office on the evening of February 20, 2013. His home was ransacked. Mr. Liu is being held in Cell B117-0667, the Baiyun District Detention Center in Guangzhou City.
18. [Yilong County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wan Jie, over 50, Arrested Around February 7, 2013
19. [Nongan County, Jilin Province] Mr. Xiu Jixue Arrested
Mr. Xiu Jixue was arrested at home by officers from Nongan County in November, 2012. It's been over three months now, and the family have not been allowed to visit.
20. [Qi County, Shanxi Province] Ms. Guo Jing and Mr. Dong Ming Sentenced to Three Years in Prison
The Qi County Court sentenced Ms. Guo Jing and Mr. Dong Ming from Qi County to three years in prison. Both Ms. Guo and Mr. Dong were transferred from the Qi County Detention Center to the 15th Ward, Jinzhong Prison in Qi County in December, 2012.
