Auburn Mayor Ned Attie said in an interview that if you observe the paintings carefully, you find each painting has to do with the heavens and a higher realm, which was the message to the community. For example, a Buddha sitting on a cloud seems to be looking at miserable human beings who are seeking salvation. It suggests that we human beings not only need help from each other but also salvation from higher beings.
