(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 12 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 10 practitioners were illegally arrested .

1. [Changzhi City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Wang Gaixiang and Ms. Cui Yumiao Arrested

Ms. Wang Gaixiang and Ms. Cui Yumiao were arrested on the afternoon of March 24, 2013, while they were distributing Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs. That night, their homes were ransacked. Their Falun Gong books and materials, electronic readers, and MP4 players were confiscated. Ms. Cui was released on the night of March 25, 2013. Ms. Wang is still held in custody.

2. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Guo Lijun Detained

Ms. Guo Lijun, who is elderly, has been held at Shenyang City Detention Center.

3. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Xiaolan Arrested

Ms. Li Xiaolan was arrested on the afternoon of March 25, 2013, while she and her husband were on their way to a dentist. Previously, the police had ransacked the couple's home, confiscating Ms. Li's computer, printer and DVDs. They had planned to arrest her at that time, but she was not home. Subsequently, they tracked her cell phone and identified her location, leading to the arrest. A police officer told her husband, who does not practice Falun Gong, that Ms. Li would be released if he pays 70,000 yuan.

4. [Chongqing] Mr. Chen Haichi Arrested

Mr. Chen Haichi, a resident of Changshou District, was arrested by officers from the Shuanglong Town Police Station on the morning of March 26, 2013, while he distributed informational materials about Falun Gong in Shuanglong Town. His current whereabouts are unknown.

5. [Gaomi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Guo Junfen Detained over Five Months

Ms. Guo Junfen has been detained for over five months at the Weifang City Detention Center. She is now being prosecuted by the Criminal Court system.

6. [Tianjin] Mr. Ma Jian Detained

Mr. Ma Jian, from Hebei District, was arrested on March 19, 2013. His rental home was ransacked by police, who confiscated most of his personal belongings. Mr. Ma is currently held at the Hebei District Detention Center.

7. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Meng Hong Sent to Prison

Ms. Meng Hong has been sent to Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison.

8. [Lin'an City, Zhejiang Province] Three Practitioners Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Han Chunmei, Ms. Han Chunshui, and Mr. Jiang Xiaohong were arrested on June 3, 2012. Subsequently, Ms. Han Chunmei was sentenced to three and a half years, Ms. Han Chunshui to three years, and Mr. Jiang Xiaohong to four years in prison.

Mr. Jiang Xiaohong and Ms. Han Chunshui were taken to the Zhejiang Province Second Prison. Authorities are planning to send Ms. Han Chunmei to the Zhejiang Province Women's Prison.

Ms. Zheng Shujuan, in her 70s, has been incarcerated at the Tianjin Women's Prison.

10. [Bin County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Chen Zihui and Ms. Xu Shuwen Arrested

Mr. Chen Zihui and Ms. Xu Shuwen, from Liangzhong Village, Ningyuan Town, were arrested by local police on the afternoon of March 27, 2013, while they spoke to people about Falun Gong in Qujiatun. Police confiscated Falun Gong books from Mr. Chen's home.

11. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Ma Changyue Facing Trial

Ms. Ma, in her 60s, was arrested in June 2012 while she distributed informational materials about Falun Gong. She was held at the Shenyang City Detention Center. After her health deteriorated due to the persecution, she was released on bail. Her trial has been scheduled for March 28, 2013.

12. [Tonghe County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Xu Zhi Detained

Several officers from the Qinghe Town Police Station, including Song Anshu, went to Ms. Xu Zhi's home and ransacked it on March 26, 2013. Ms. Xu was arrested and taken to the Qinghe Town Police Station. Five hours later, she was taken to the Tonghe County Detention Center.

13. [Tianjin] Ms. Yao Ying Detained

Ms. Yao Ying, from Hexi District, was arrested by officers from the Guajiasi Police Station while she distributed Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs on the night of March 14, 2013. At 11 p.m., officers from the Hexi District 610 Office and Guajiasi Police Station ransacked her home. The following night, she was taken to the Caozhuangzi Detention Center for a 15-day term.

14. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolian] Mr. Li Wenzhi and Ms. Ji Shurong Tried

Mr. Li Wenzhi and Ms. Ji Shurong were tried at the Hongshan District Court in Chifeng City on the afternoon of March 25, 2013. The Procuratorate proposed that they be sentenced to seven to ten years in prison.

15. [Penglai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yu Guixiang Detained

Ms. Yu Guixiang, from Daxindian, Penglai City, was arrested in Yanjiao Town, Hebei Province, on February 21, 2013. On March 7, 2013, she was taken to the Magezhuang Brainwashing Center in Penglai City by officers from the Penglai City Domestic Security Division.

On March 23, 2013, her family got a notice from Penglai City Court that her arrest was approved and she was being held at the Yantai City Detention Center.

16. [Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Hao Peijie Forced to Perform Self-Examination in a Restroom

On March 15, 2013, Ms. Hao Peijie's sister, from Shuangcheng County, traveled hundreds of miles to Qianjin Forced Labor Camp in Harbin City to visit her sister. The guards agreed to let her see her sister only on a monitor screen. She saw her elder sister, Ms. Hao Peijie, looking very tired, stand in a very dirty restroom and perform self-examination per the guards' orders (a form of mental abuse).

17. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Chai Xiufang Facing Trial

Ms. Chai Xiufang is facing trial at Weibin District Court on April 3, 2013.
