(Minghui.net) Ms. Bao Siqin-Gaowa, 34, an ethnic Mongolian, started practicing Falun Gong during her sophomore year at Heilongjiang University. Two years later, in 1999, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) launched the nationwide persecution of Falun Gong. She went to Beijing to appeal for justice and was subsequently expelled from the university. She returned home to Baokang Township of Tongliao City in Inner Mongolia, and the local 610 Office has since never stopped monitoring and harassing her. During a ten-year period, she was illegally detained, sent to forced labor camps, and subjected to brainwashing. The torture that Ms. Bao endured during her detention in Tumuji Forced Labor Camp, from 2007 to 2010, resulted in her becoming paralyzed. She still cannot walk as of this writing.
Subjected to “Death-penalty” Criminal Torture Device
Officials from the 610 Office sent Ms. Bao to a brainwashing center for two weeks in 2001. Because she refused to give up her belief, the guards used a torture device which locked her neck and feet together. She was thus unable to sit or lie down. Because Ms. Bao's mother often went there to appeal for her release, She was released a week later.

Sentenced to One Year of Forced Labor—Only Two Words on the Paperwork: “Falun Gong”
Baokang police approached Ms. Bao's parents on January 16, 2003, stating that they needed to talk with their daughter. This deception led to Ms. Bao being detained at the police station for two weeks. Without following any legal procedures, officials sentenced her to one year of forced labor. The paperwork had only the words “Falun Gong” typed on it. Without notifying her parents, officials secretly sent Ms. Bao to the Tumuji Forced Labor Camp.
Because Ms. Bao refused to give up her belief at the labor camp, the guards beat her to the point that her neck was immobilized. She became unable to take care of herself and needed help putting on shoes. She was then put into a solitary confinement cell for 50 days, where she was forced to squat down and not allowed to sleep. She was also forced to stand for a long period of time, causing her feet to become swollen.
Police Hire Thug for Harassment
Because Ms. Bao had not worked for five years, she planned to find a job upon her release from the labor camp. She went to the home of another practitioner, Ms. Qu Liling, who lived at Jiamatu, and helped her plant fruit trees. However, the police did not stop harassing her, and a few days later officer Gao, from Baokang Police Station, along with several agents from Jiamatu Police Station, raided Ms. Qu’s home, but left after not finding anything.
Several days later, the police instructed a man at Dongdajuhua Village of Baokang Town to go to Ms. Qu’s home and say, “After reading the Falun Gong materials you distributed, my wife had many big fights with me.” Ms. Qu and Ms. Bao attempted to clarify the truth to him. But he responded by furiously pouring a basin of water onto a bookcase containing many antiques books.
The man left, but as soon as Ms. Bao cleaned up the room, he came back. Upon seeing Ms. Bao refusing to let him come in, he picked up a spade and broke more than ten pieces of glass on the window. He also swore loudly, saying the police told him to come and beat Ms. Bao.
When Ms. Bao went to the Jiamatu Police Station and inquired about this, they sent her back to Baokang Town.
Resulting from Torture, Ms. Bao is Unable to Care for Herself
Baokang police arrested Ms. Bao again on January 16, 2004, and sent her to the Tumuji Forced Labor Camp to serve a one-year term. Once again, legal procedures were circumvented throughout the process.
Guard Liu Qingzhi severely beat Ms. Bao on July 4, 2004, causing her neck to become completely immobilized. She was thus unable to take care of herself and returned home in December 2004. A local police agent, Bai, kept her under constant surveillance.
Another Type of Detention
After Ms. Bao returned to Baokang, the police confiscated her ID to prevent her from going out and looking for a job. Officials then asked her to work as a typist at the Youth League Committee and paid her the minimum wage of 150 yuan per month. On the surface, this appeared to be a job, but it was essentially another type of detention. Ms. Bao worked there for more than a year. Both her talent and high moral standards earned the respect of many coworkers. She also clarified the truth to many of them. When the police discovered that she had visited the Minghui website she was terminated.
Police agents subsequently often went to her home searching for Falun Gong related materials. They also pressured Ms. Bao's parents into beating her. Her father almost broke her legs, and the bruises took several months to heal. Police then spread rumors that practicing Falun Gong made students drop out of school and depend on their parents.
Forced to Stay Away from Home
Female police agent Bai Guanghua began following Ms. Bao after she returned to Baokang. When she went to practitioner Ms. Li Guizhi's home, Ms. Bao and Ms. Li attempted to clarify the truth to Bai, but she didn't listen. Ms. Bao was able to escape, but had to stay away from home to avoid further detention.
Sent to Labor Camp Again and Unable to Walk Freely Due to Torture
Ms. Bao called her parents in June 2007. Their phone was being tapped, so on the morning of June 3, 2007, police from Ms. Bao's hometown broke into her temporary dwelling in Jilin City, Jilin Province. The officers included Yin Wei, the head of the Baokang 610 Office, and others from the Tongliao City Police Department. They detained her at the Baokang Detention Center, then took her to Tumuji Forced Labor Camp, to serve a three-year term.
On June 5, the authorities took her to the labor camp hospital for a period of intensive torture. Ms. Bao refused to get out of the vehicle when they arrived at the hospital, so guard Hu Bo forced her out and dragged her up the stairs to the second floor, as Ms. Bao shouted, "Stop persecuting Falun Gong!" Guan Yongli, the driver, kicked Ms. Bao, with the last kick landing on her jaw, which bled profusely.
The authorities conducted a month-long "transformation" procedure on Ms. Bao. More than twenty female guards were enlisted. They force-fed her, made her stand for long periods, slapped her face, deprived her of sleep, physically assaulted her and threatened to send her to prison.
Ms. Bao was taken to the fourth floor of the women's section, where she was abused for two more weeks. Guards Zhai Qiuhua and Ma Hongyun extended the duration of the sleep deprivation and forced her to stand for periods of up to 36 hours. They slapped her face with flyswatters, causing her skin to peel, which continued until she started having heart problems.
At lunchtime on December 17, guard Yin Guijuan suddenly grabbed Ms. Bao's hair and dragged her out of the dining hall, then ordered two inmates to carry her downstairs. Ms. Bao resisted and requested a meeting with division head Jia Mei. When she did not receive a response, she protested by going on a week-long hunger strike.
Guard Yin Guijuan struck Ms. Bao in the face dozens of times in the dining hall on December 25, 2007. She then had Ms. Bao carried to the second floor, and kicked her left thigh three times. Ms. Bao kept shouting, "Falun Dafa is good" during the ordeal. In an attempt to stop her from shouting, Yin Guijuan tore off several strips from a dirty mop and stuffed them into her mouth. The blows to her face made her eyes bleed, and her face was swollen for several days. Her leg was injured so badly that she could not turn over in bed without pain for over a month.
Labor camp authorities once again detained Ms. Bao on the fourth floor for intensive "transformation" sessions on December 27, 2009. They brought in other inmates and "experts" from out of town to conduct the "transformation," which was unsuccessful. She was finally released in June 2010. But due to the long-term torture, she was unable to walk.
Almost Sent to be Murdered in CCP Organ Harvesting Scheme
When Ms. Bao was detained at the Tumuji Forced Labor Camp, guards said she would be sent to another place if she refused to give up her belief, and she may not come back alive. After learning of Ms. Bao's parents visiting her once a month, the transfer was aborted.
As a promising college student, Ms. Bao could have contributed a lot to society. But the persecution prevented her from realizing her potential.
