CCP Media Claims Reenactment of Tortures in China's Prisons Is “Slander”

June 7, 2013 |   By Hai Tao

(Minghui.org) On June 4, Chinese Central Television (CCTV) and the Xinhua news agency website published pictures showing reenactments of methods of torture used on Falun Gong practitioners. Could it be that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) was acknowledging its crimes? Of course not. CCTV and Xinhua accused Falun Gong practitioners of “fabricating torture pictures and ruining the nation's image.”

The message was that the CCP was the “nation” and that the CCP never tortured Falun Gong practitioners, so the reenactments were “slander.”

In the 14 years of persecution, the CCP has used more than 100 different methods of torture to try to force Falun Gong practitioners to abandon their belief in Truth-Compassion-Forbearance. Those who live under the CCP regime are all too familiar with the fact that it is shameless. Only the CCP can slander its own people. How can the Chinese people “defame” the CCP or “slander” its police?

It is the right of the victims to expose the tortures with words, paintings, reenactment pictures, and videos to illustrate and demonstrate the means of persecution used in China's prisons and labor camps.

Reenactment pictures are the most straightforward. The Minghui website has published many such pictures and noted that they were reenactments. The reality is always bloodier and more brutal than these reenactment pictures could ever convey.

The reenactments are based on the firsthand accounts of numerous Falun Gong practitioners who experienced these tortures while imprisoned for their belief. The following are some examples.

Cruel Tortures Commonly Used Against Falun Gong Torture Illustrations

Torture re-enactment (clockwise): Tiger Bench, brutal beatings, death bed, shocking with electric batons, stretching bed, hanging by handcuffs, force-feeding through the nose, iron chair, injection of poisonous or harmful substances, brutal force-feeding, beatings with electric batons, and so on.

These illustration photos expose the vicious nature of the CCP and it is afraid. In order to cover up its crimes, the CCP arrests Falun Gong practitioners who take part in the reenactment photos. Its propaganda calls the pictures a “fabrication.” This is a common tactic used by the CCP.

The number of deaths reported by the Minghui website has reached 3,694. Here is a list of those confirmed dead in the persecution.

Due to the difficulty of collecting data during the persecution, the death count is far from complete.

The purpose of torturing these people is to try to force them to abandon their belief in Truth-Compassion-Forbearance. It's hard to find a political regime that tops the evilness of the CCP.

Other Methods of Torture

The cruelty of the torture methods may not be fully reflected in their names: “small cell,” “ground anchor,” “restricting clothes,” “sandwich,” “electric baton shock,” “death bed,” “tiger bench,” and “big hang-up.”

Most people wouldn't understand what such terms mean. However, tens of thousands of Falun Gong practitioners in China are very familiar with these them.

“Small cell:” “Walking out of Masanjia,” published in Mainland China media on April 7, 2013, described this torture. According to the report, there is more than one type of “small cell.” The smallest cell is a little over one meter wide and two meters long. It was previously used on "special" inmates, but later was used on all prisoners. The “special” inmates the article referred to was Falun Gong practitioners detained in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. Small cells are very narrow with poor ventilation. The victim has to breathe near the small space between the door and the floor, and the cement floor is wet. The victim has no cover to sleep. Sometimes the small cell is also where additional torture is carried out.

“Anchored to the Ground:”

Torture re-enactment: Torture Illustration: Anchor Torture
Prison guards tortured Mr. Li Xiwang with the “Anchor Torture” for 39 days. He could not move his lower back after he was released.
With the legs anchored apart at an angle of up to 130 degrees, the pain is unbearable, as if one's legs are being torn apart.
The hands are shackled to the floor together with the front foot, while the other foot is shackled to the floor far behind.

Zhang Shilin, head of ward number 5 of Gangbei Prison in Tianjin City, directed the guards to torture small business owner and Falun Gong practitioner Li Xiwang with the “ground anchor.” Strong young men may be able to withstand two hours in this position. They tortured Mr. Li like this for eight hours, and when they opened the small cell early on July 27, 2011, he was dead.

“Electric shock:” Electric batons, needles, electric numbing instruments, electric devices modified from hand-crank telephones.

At 3 p.m. on May 7, 2004, Ms. Gao Rongrong, a staff member at the Finance Department of the Luxun Arts Institute in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, was shocked with electric batons for six to seven hours. Her face was mutilated with blisters all over. She couldn't even open her eyes, and her face and mouth were swollen. Even people who saw her every day couldn't recognize her. She survived that time, but was later tortured to death.

Anti-Torture Exhibits with Real People Doing Reenactments Stun the World

People must be informed that the CCP is capable of evil beyond imagination. Falun Gong practitioners have taken to reenacting methods of torture using real people to get the message across. This has a strong visual impact and touches people's hearts.

In the United States, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, United Kingdom, France, Switzerland, Canada and many other places, Falun Gong practitioners have held anti-torture exhibits, which have had a great impact.

Falun Gong practitioners in China cannot hold such exhibits, but have described their personal experiences, taken photos of tortures, or demonstrated the tortures by reenacting them.

We Must End the Crimes of the CCP

For more than 13 years, Falun Gong practitioners outside and inside of China have persevered in informing the world's people about the persecution, including the tortures in prisons, labor camps, brainwashing centers, and mental hospitals.

Everyone who learns the truth about what is happening is responsible to help stop the persecution. The CCP is not just persecuting Falun Gong practitioners--it is persecuting the conscience and morality of mankind. We must bring its crimes to a halt.
