(Minghui.org) I found my husband lying in bed in great pain and running a high fever when I returned home from work on the evening of November 7, 2012. Several members of our family and I immediately took him to Acheng District People's Hospital.
The doctor on duty diagnosed my husband with acute appendicitis and recommended immediate surgery. We knew that a routine appendectomy would take at most 50 minutes, and were quite concerned after we waited for more than two hours. At nearly midnight, a surgeon came out of the operating room and informed us that my husband didn't have appendicitis at all. Before we even had a chance to let out a sigh of relief, he told us a tumor was found in my husband's colon and it needed to be immediately removed. My older brother and brother-in-law went inside to find out more and confirmed the bad news. Stunned, I signed the paperwork to grant the second surgery.
We waited for about three more hours before we were finally allowed to see my husband. It was frightening to see all kinds of tubes inserted into his abdomen. According to a biopsy, he had colon cancer. However, we weren't convinced and sought a second opinion from Harbin Cancer Hospital, which not only confirmed the diagnosis, but further pointed out that my husband's cancer was quite advanced and had spread to his lymph nodes.
My whole family was upset at the misdiagnosis made by the doctor on duty at Acheng District People's Hospital. They wanted to go back and confront him.
As a Falun Gong practitioner, I knew I must be considerate of others. After all, that doctor on duty didn't deliberately misdiagnose my husband. So I managed to calm my family, and they eventually agreed to not go after the doctor.
We were worried that my husband couldn't take the bad news so we didn't tell him the severity of his problem. Four days after his operation, a friend who also practices Falun Gong came to visit him and suggested he try Falun Gong. To my surprise, my husband immediately agreed. That day, he began listening to Master's audio lectures. Sixteen days later he was discharged from the hospital.
I was very grateful that the practitioner friend took a bus to our home every day to read Dafa books with my husband. When I returned home from work, I took over and helped my husband do the exercises.
Since my husband was still hooked up to a catheter, I saw clearly what came out of his body every day. It was all matter that looked like rotten flesh and I knew that Master was constantly purifying his body.
My husband did not miss even one day reading Dafa books or practicing the exercises. A follow-up examination conducted one month later showed that his cancer had completely disappeared. We have no doubt that it was Falun Dafa and Master that saved him.
In March 2013, my husband had reconstruction surgery to connect his colon with his anus. The pre-operation examination showed that everything was normal and the surgery itself went smoothly. The surgeon, who was the same physician that operated on my husband the first time, was amazed to see no more trace of cancerous cells and couldn't believe how fast my husband had recovered.
My husband is now free of any illness and is a very diligent Falun Gong practitioner.
