(Minghui.org) Somewhere in Henan Province there was a Falun Gong practitioner named Lao Li, who died after a car accident. Although he was hit by a car, he did not get hurt, nor did he feel any pain. However, he was worried and wanted to be seen by a doctor.

He was hit on the east side of the city, and he went all the way to a hospital on the west side. But the doctors there said that their machines were broken, so they could not examine him. Mr. Lao insisted, so, in the end, a doctor examined him and said he had a fracture. As soon as he heard that, Mr. Lao immediately started to scream in pain.

Fellow practitioners heard about it and went to see him. They shared with him and reminded him to handle himself as a practitioner. Mr. Lao finally awakened to the understanding that he was a practitioner who was protected by Master. But because he had the wrong thoughts again and again at key moments, his situation got complicated. After several days, he died.

In my local area a female practitioner fell off a fellow practitioner's small electrical vehicle. After she stood up, she felt completely fine. She was walking normally, had no pain, and was able to do the sitting meditation in the full lotus position. But when she returned home and told her family about it, they insisted that she go for an exam, and she wavered a little. So they went, and the doctors discovered that her leg was fractured. Later she realized her error and wanted to get out of the hospital, but her family would not let her. In the end, she became crippled, and even to this day she still cannot walk normally.

Master told us, “We have said that good or evil comes from a person’s spontaneous thought, and the thought at that moment can bring about different consequences.” (Zhuan Falun) What these two practitioners went through really should give us pause.

As practitioners, Master has arranged for us the best cultivation path. He is always looking after us, giving us hints along the way, and has eliminated much of the enormous karma we have. As long as we handle ourselves as true practitioners, Master will truly take care of us. Accidents like these have happened so many times and many were much more severe. However, because the disciples had righteous thoughts, handled themselves as cultivators, and followed the xinxing standards, in the end they were all fine. No matter how large the tribulations are, Master is always protecting his disciples and eliminating karma for us. Many times it is not just for the sake of tribulation, but really for disciples to improve their xinxing and go to a higher level.

A female practitioner in my local area was hit by a car and knocked more than ten meters away. She immediately fell unconscious. However, when she came to, she said that she was okay several times and told the driver to go. She said she was fine and she really was fine. She had no injuries at all and had no issues later. That was the righteous thought of a practitioner.

In fact, Master has clearly told us in Zhuan Falun what to do when encountering these kind of situations. Master talked about the female practitioner over 50 years old:

“When they walked into the middle of the street, a car drove by very fast, and its rearview mirror caught the elderly lady’s clothes. With her clothes caught by the car, the lady was dragged for a distance of over ten meters and brought down to the ground.”

“This practitioner slowly got up from the ground and said: 'There’s nothing wrong. You can leave.' She brushed off the dirt on her clothes and left with her husband.”

She didn't try to see whether she was hurt or not. She was just thinking about going to the lecture. She was even a new practitioner. On the other hand, we have cultivated for so many years, so why do we not have righteous thoughts at the key moments? It shows that our cultivation isn't very solid. Ultimately it is about whether or not one believes in Master and in the Fa.

It is hard to see it in normal situations, but often at critical moments, one's human mind can take over and feel scared. Because the human mind is moved, he is then a human and the consequences will be human consequences. However, Master is compassionate and will give us chances to come back. But there won't be endless chances; if one doesn't enlighten on the issue again and again, then there will not be a way out.
