(Minghui.org) Besides being a world-class learning institution and the second oldest university in the English-speaking world, the University of Cambridge is also a popular tourist attraction for visitors from China and around the world.
The University, which is located in Cambridge, England, boasts nine museums and collections, all within short walking distances of the City Center.
Falun Gong practitioners have set up an information stand in front of King's College, to introduce Falun Gong to the public and to raise awareness about the 14-year persecution of the practice by the Chinese Communist regime. This location is also a Service Center for Quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), where Chinese people can withdraw their membership in the CCP and its affiliated organizations, the Communist Youth League and the Young Pioneers.
Throughout the day, groups of Chinese students studying in the UK come over to read the practitioners' informational display boards and to ask questions.
The students often point to the words on the practitioners' banners and discuss amongst themselves. Many students take photos of the practitioners' graphic posters depicting the CCP's live organ harvesting and various torture methods used against practitioners imprisoned in China for practicing Falun Gong.
More and more professors and students have been accepting the practitioners' informational materials, listening to them clarify the truth, and quitting the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations.
One day, Ms. Feng, a volunteer for the Service Center for Quitting the CCP, gave some informational materials to a professor who was sitting nearby. The professor nodded and smiled.
Ms. Feng asked the professor, "Have you read the Epoch Times newspaper before?” When she said that she had not, Ms. Feng asked, “Do you know about the tide of Chinese people quitting the CCP and its affiliated organizations?"
The professor only smiled. "Please carefully read the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party in your hand,” Ms. Feng continued, “as it clarifies the true nature of the Communist Party.
“The CCP has killed over 80 million innocent Chinese people since it came to power. It is thoroughly corrupt and has committed all kinds of evil. Have you seen our banner with the words, 'Disintegrate the CCP? ' The Party is so evil that even the gods want to destroy it!"
While nodding, the professor replied, "Yes, we all know about this, but we also know that we cannot do anything about it. There are too many corrupt officials in China; they're everywhere. They're constantly lying and trying to deceive people!"
"Do you know why?” Ms. Feng asked. “The core elements of the CCP are 'falsehood, evil, and violence,’ and it subscribes to an atheistic philosophy. The former Party leader, Jiang Zemin, ruled the country using every form of corruption imaginable.
“This has led to the moral decline of a whole society in which people no longer believe that 'good is rewarded with good and evil with evil.' People’s minds have turned bad and everything, including the food, water, and even the air is poisoned."
"That’s why we want to bring our students abroad so that they can experience how life is outside of China,” the professor explained. Pointing to some litter on the ground left by a group of Chinese students, Ms. Feng said, "Others put litter into the bin over there, but see, our children throw it directly on the ground. They truly don't know right from wrong. This is the result of having the Party culture instilled in them from birth."
The professor looked embarrassed, as there was litter strewn everywhere. She walked over to where the students were and asked them to pick up their litter and throw it into the trash bin.
“I can see that you are quite clear-headed,” Ms. Feng said. “It would be best if you could make a clean break from the CCP so when heaven punishes the Party in the future, good people will be spared. I can choose an alias for you so that you don't have to use your real name. The professor nodded, "Thank you."
“Are you a Party member?" asked Ms. Feng. The professor smiled, too embarrassed to answer. "That does not matter,” said Ms. Feng matter-of-factually, “just quit the Communist Youth League that you once joined and you'll be able to avoid the future calamity and be safe." The professor replied, "OK, I would like to quit! Thank you very much!"
“Have you read it?” asked Ms. Feng, as she handed two Chinese girls a copy of the Nine Commentaries. “No, but we have heard about it,” they replied. “Where are you studying now?” Ms. Feng asked. “We are PhD graduates from China and we decided to take some time off to visit the UK,” one of the girls replied. "You both are very smart!” Ms. Feng exclaimed. “You are so young and yet you are PhD graduates. Are you also CCP members?"
“We have never been interested in being Party members but we did join the Communist Youth League when we were young,” one of them replied. “For your own safety,” Ms. Feng said, “please quickly withdraw from that organization so as to avoid the coming catastrophe!" They both nodded and said with one voice, “OK, we quit it. Thank you very much!"
“Have you heard of the Tiananmen Square self-immolation hoax?” Ms. Feng asked. “Yes, but we are not very clear about it,” one answered. Then Ms. Feng told them about the many discrepancies in the self-immolation footage broadcast on CCTV, the CCP's media mouthpiece. After hearing the facts, the girls easily saw how the Party had maliciously framed Falun Gong.
While making her way home, Ms. Feng saw a young Chinese man sitting on a curb. She approached him and said hello. After speaking awhile, the young man told her, “I came to the UK to learn English and will go back to China in a month.”
Ms. Feng gave him a copy of both the Nine Commentaries and the Epoch Times newspaper. After a few minutes, Ms. Feng asked him if he had ever joined any of the CCP’s affiliated organizations. “Yes, I joined two organizations,” he replied, “but since it was so long ago, it's now a moot point. Besides, the CCP organizations that I had joined were for younger kids. I am grown up now, so they have no bearing on my life at all.”
When Ms. Feng started to clarify the facts to him, he stopped her. “Wait! I do not believe in anything, including the Communist Party,” he said. “I only believe in myself. What do you believe in?”
"I believe in Falun Dafa,” Ms. Feng said. “Oh!” he exclaimed, “If you practice Falun Gong, then we definitely don't have anything to talk about!”
"It seems that you don't know what Falun Gong is and you don't believe in anything,” she said. “Your misunderstanding of the practice stems from the vicious lies promulgated by the Communist Party about Falun Gong.
“Falun Gong is being practiced in more than 100 countries and areas around the world. It is very popular and has won thousands of awards. Why is it only persecuted in China? It's because the Communist Party believes in 'falsehood, evil, and violence,' while Falun Gong believes in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.”
Ms. Feng then told him about her own experience with practicing Falun Gong. “Twenty years ago, I was too ill to go to work,” she said. “After practicing Falun Gong for a year, all of my illnesses disappeared. If I had not practiced Falun Gong, I wouldn’t be standing here having this conversation. Who knows what would have happened to me!”
The young man looked up at Ms. Feng and nodded, "In fact, my parents and I all know that the Communist Party is rotten to the core," he said.
"You say that you just believe in yourself,” she replied, “but how are you able to discern right from wrong in your speech and conduct?
“Do you conduct yourself according to the Party's atheistic culture, or in accordance with Chinese traditional culture and values? It is impossible for you to live in a vacuum and be isolated from social reality. In fact, no matter what you say and do, you have to be able to discern good from evil.
“You say that you don’t believe in anything, but I believe that all of that is empty talk. It means that you are not being responsible to yourself!”
The young man nodded in agreement, “Please help me quit the CCP's affiliated organizations!"
A group of Chinese students, led by a British professor, gathered together on the lawn. Ms. Feng talked to them and found out that they were high school students who came to the UK from China for a summer camp. She gave each of them some Dafa-related fliers. One boy shouted, "Falun Dafa is good!"
Later in the day, Ms. Feng handed a copy of the Epoch Times and the Nine Commentaries to a middle-aged woman who was part of a tour group. “Although I do not practice Falun Gong,” the woman said, “I know that the way the CCP treats Falun Gong is extremely cruel."
She told Ms. Feng that she had already read the Nine Commentaries and the Epoch Times and suggested that she save it for someone who has not had a chance to read it yet. Then the woman immediately quit a Party-affiliated organization.
Although the group that the woman had come with had already walked quite a long distance away, she was still reluctant to leave. Finally, she told Ms. Feng, “I must go. Please take good care of yourself!”
