People Can Tell the Difference Between Righteous and Wicked When They Know the Facts

Sept. 4, 2013 |   By Xincheng

(Minghui.org) Good and bad, righteous and evil coexist in the world. Most people can tell the difference between the two. However, in China, where the media is controlled by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and public opinion is manipulated through the regime's own mouthpiece, the distinction between right and wrong is often confused. This is particularly the case when the CCP keeps advertising itself as “great, glorious and correct,” while slandering and defaming what is truly beautiful. Consequently, people are deceived and tend to confuse black and white, good and bad. However, once the truth is restored, people can easily identify good and bad, righteous or wicked.

The following are summaries of reports from the Minghui website on July 19, 2013.

Tian Qingling, 40 years old, is a doctor in the Oncology Department of Harbin Chinese Medicine Hospital. She has superb medical skills and is able to form an accurate diagnosis just by taking a patient's pulse. She creates prescriptions for her patients, which cost little but have miraculous effects. Quite often, a dose of Chinese herbal medicine she prescribes only costs about one US dollar. In China today, people are scared of getting sick because it not only brings physical pain, but is often very expensive.

Hospitals often prescribe unnecessary medications for profit. Therefore, it's quite rare for a patient to obtain effective medication at such a low cost. Tian Qingling's reputation spread by word of mouth and many came specially to seek her treatment. However, this good and popular doctor was illegally sentenced to forced labor by the CCP—simply because she practices Falun Gong. While detained in Qianjin Forced Labor Camp of Heilongjiang Province, she was nearly paralyzed through torture, with one leg severely atrophied. Even so, the guards took away her wheelchair and crutches, making her crawl on her elbows. A distance of 100 meters would take her three or four hours to cover; she even had to crawl in the rain. Someone took pity and gave her some dry clothing, but the guards made her stay in her wet clothes.

On July 9, 2013, Wanghua District Court illegally put a number of Falun Gong practitioners on trial. Their defense lawyer entered not-guilty pleas on their behalf. In his defense statement, the lawyer told the court a story about defendant Wang Yumei. She was once stabbed three times, and the person who attacked her was ordered to pay approximately $25,000 in compensation. However, Ms. Wang only accepted about $3,900 to cover the medical expenses, in order to reduce the financial burden on her attacker's family. The lawyer asked the judge: “Do you believe that such a nice person would commit crimes?” The judge cut him short and refused to allow him to continue.

Another report is about Han Yuhong, a villager in Hebei Province. Years ago, three people in a family in Fangshan District, Beijing were murdered. Ms. Han's father and a friend happened to pay a visit to the family. They were then arrested as suspects and underwent interrogation under torture, until the wife of the victim regained consciousness in the hospital and confirmed their innocence. However, by that time, Ms. Han's father had been injured and could not walk. A few days later, he showed signs of psychosis and would attack anyone who came near him. Doctors said that he was suffering from schizophrenia. Ms. Han's mother appealed against this injustice for 10 years, but without much success. Later, some kindhearted people posted their sorrowful story on the Internet. In order to smooth things over, the Ministry of Public Security agreed to pay their family about $65,000 as compensation.

By that time, Ms. Han's whole family had started to practice Falun Gong, and her father had also recovered from his mental illness and returned to his normal self. When the representative from the Ministry of Public Security asked her parents for their requests, her father said, “I'm healthy now from practicing Falun Gong. I don't want any compensation from the government, nor do I want to take any action against anybody now. Tell those involved not to worry about it anymore.”

The $65,000 was by no means a small figure. However, they practice Falun Gong and always consider others before themselves, so they politely refused the compensation - even though they were still poor. After the CCP started to persecute Falun Gong, they became targets of the persecution simply because they spoke out in support of the practice. The police searched and ransacked their house on several occasions. Ms. Han was taken to two forced labor camps and a brainwashing center for persecution. Following her marriage in 2002, her in-laws and husband were also subjected to house search and harassment.

Zang Kuidong is a high school teacher in Shandong Province. He always holds himself the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and takes a highly responsible role towards his students, their parents and the school. As a result, his students have achieved outstanding results, and he was highly respected. When students' parents gave him gifts and money as tokens of gratitude, he'd place them in an envelope and return them to the parents with a note explaining why he wouldn't accept their kind gesture. The parents were deeply moved and knew that teachers like him were very hard to find these days. However, he was illegally arrested by CCP police for practicing Falun Gong, and was later taken to a brainwashing center for attempts at “transformation.”

The persecution of Falun Gong practitioners is so brutal that even the CCP won't openly report these cases. Practitioners believe in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and demonstrate high morals in their conduct. One may ask: “What does the CCP want to transform them into? Teachers have declined money and gifts from their students' families. Does the CCP want them to do the opposite? Doctors have prescribed low-cost medicine with good curative effects. Does the CCP want to “transform” them so that they would prescribe expensive medicine for their own gains? In order to persecute Falun Gong, the CCP has told countless lies. However, facts always remain the same, and people can see the true manifestation of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance through Falun Gong practitioners' words and actions.
