(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Liu Yongwen from Xingning, Meizhou City, Guangdong Province was employed at the Guanzhou Fast Delivery Company.
Mr. Liu was illlegally arrested when he was distributing Falun Dafa informational materials on February 20, 2013. The police ransacked his home and confiscated his computer and printer.
He is being held at the Baiyun Detention Center in Guangzhou City. The court-appointed attorney called his wife to inform her that he would be tried at 7:15 a.m. on August 22.
Mr. Liu's wife and relatives arrived at the court trial time only to be told that the trial would not begin until 10:00 a.m. The authorities wouldn't let the family into the courtroom because Mr. Liu refused to admit to any wrongdoings. His wife and relatives were unable to see Mr. Liu despite having traveled hundreds of miles from their home to Guangzhou City.
Mr. Liu's wife was told to expect to hear the verdict after two weeks, but she has not received notice of the judgment so far.
The family has not seen or heard from Mr. Liu since his arrest ten months ago. Therefore, they ask people locally and internationally to assist in rescuing Mr. Liu.
