Ms. Zhu Ruiying Arrested on Her Way to Visit Practitioners in Prison

Jan. 7, 2014 |   By a Minghui correspondent from Anhui Province, China

(Minghui.org) Ms. Zhu Ruiying, a Falun Gong practitioner from Hefei City, Anhui Province, went to visit practitioners detained in the Third Prison in Suzhou City, Anhui Province on October 30, 2013. She was reported to the police while talking to people about Falun Gong and the persecution on the bus. She was arrested after the bus arrived in Suzhou City, and taken to the Suzhou Detention Center.

Three days after Ms. Zhu was arrested, she was transferred to the Hefei Brainwashing Center by the Hefei City 610 Office. Because she refused to renounce Falun Gong, she was returned to the detention center. However, she failed the physical checkup, so the detention center refused to accept her.

The Xiaoyaojie Police Station director forced the detention center to accept her, claiming that she was still “on probation.”

Ms. Zhu had been arrested on June 24, 2011 and sentenced to a three-year prison term which was commuted to three years of probation.

The police asked her family to bring quilts and clothing to her on December 5, 2013. They told the family that they would be transferring her to a prison the next day. Ms. Zhu's husband called the director of the police station and told him that the family would not agree to her being detained.
