Tourists Quit the CCP at Falun Gong Information Booth in Macau (Photos)

Oct. 24, 2014 |   By a Falun Gong Practitioner in Macau

(Minghui.org) Mainland Chinese tourists make up roughly two-thirds of all visitors to Macau, which means a perfect opportunity for Falun Gong practitioners to talk to them about the practice and expose the persecution. The following are a few experiences I have had speaking with Chinese tourists.

Several middle-aged Chinese men stopped to look at a Falun Gong information booth at the ruins of St. Paul's. The men carefully read the captions accompanying several large photographs and exchanged opinions with each other. A photograph of the Hidden Character Stone seemed to really interest them (the stone reads “The Chinese Communist Party will perish).” They asked each other in low voices, “Is this true? Do they allow it to exist?”

I told the men, “The Hidden Character Stone is in a scenic area of Pingtang County, Guizhou Province. The news report that you see next to the picture was first published in a geography magazine in China. Many other media later reported it.”

“Tourists can visit the stone for 50 yuan a ticket,” I said, as I pointed at a picture of a ticket. “A lady I met a few days ago told me the stone is in her hometown. Because so many people went to see the stone, it helped improve the town's economy. Locals call it the fortune stone.”

I told the two men about the large number of Chinese people who have quit the Communist Party (CCP) to stay safe. They were CCP members, so I suggested that they quit the party with nicknames. All of them agreed to quit and thanked me profusely.

I started talking to other tourists, but one of the men called me over and said, “Our big brother hasn't quit the party. Could you go over there and help him quit?” I told him, “You can bring him over here. I can't leave now because I'm busy with all the tourists.”

The men wouldn't listen to my explanation and pulled me away toward their friend. They told him, “We've studied it carefully, and the self-immolation on Tiananmen Square is fake. Many people from all over the world practice Falun Gong. We have quit the CCP. Why don't you hurry up and quit as well?”

They turned around and said to me, “Our big brother is an official. Could you find a good nickname for him?” I selected the nickname “Li De'an,” which means virtue and peace. The official said happily, “Great! Great! My brothers and I all quit. Thank you.” I was happy for them too.

A husband and wife in their 50s saw the Falun Gong information booth in front of City Hall in downtown Macau one Saturday afternoon. The husband wanted to read our display, but the wife insisted on leaving.

Seeing that her husband wouldn't leave, the woman said, “Falun Gong set themselves on fire on Tiananmen Square.” Her husband replied, “It's fabricated.” The wife said, “Falun Gong is an evil cult.” The husband replied loudly, “There is nothing wrong with Falun Gong. It's not treasonous, but the communist party is. Check this out.” He pointed at a map showing the land the CCP had given to other countries.

I approached him and asked, “Sir, the CCP is doomed because of its wicked conduct. More than 44 million Chinese people have quit the CCP, the youth league and the young pioneers to be safe. Are you a member of the CCP?” “Yes, I am,” he said. I asked him, “Why don't you quit the CCP with the nickname Lin Jianle?” He happily agreed. As he was leaving he said, “The CCP is too wicked!”
