(Minghui.org) An engineer from Tianjin has been subjected to intense persecution since being taken to the Binhai Prison in July. He was sentenced to four years in prison for telling people the facts about Falun Gong.
Mr. Li Dongman is being held in Division 2, Ward 5. Deputy captain Gao Peizhi has instigated other inmates to force Mr. Li to sit straight on a narrow bench for over 17 hours every day. They have also limited his food and sleep, and not allowed him to buy personal necessities. Gao also tried to deceive Mr. Li's wife into divorcing him, but she refused.
The 38-year-old was arrested on October 12, 2013, while making phone calls to tell people the facts about Falun Gong. Nine officers from Youyi Road Police Station ransacked his home and confiscated a computer, a U-drive, and Dafa books.
Mr. Li was tried in Hexi District Court on December 20, 2013, and sentenced to a four-year prison term on May 27, 2014. He was transferred to Binhai Prison in Tianjin on July 14, 2014.
Mr. Li was formerly an engineer with the Railway Planning Institute. He had been arrested previously on April 24, 2009, and sentenced to three years in Gangbei Prison.
